Pet Mod DLCmons v3: returns (Slate 7: Mega Discoveries)

:dusknoir:
Stat Changes: 55 HP (+10) / 100 ATK / 135 DEF / 85 SpA (+20) / 135 SpD / 35 Speed (-10) | 545 BST (+20)
Added Ability: Sheer Force as second Ability (Duskull and Dusclops gets Cursed Body instead)
Movepool Addition: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Slack Off
Justifications: Dusknoir suffers from having an identity crisis when compared to Dusclops, so Sheer Force added and BoltBeam coverage for special set will help set it apart as a Ghost-type glue. It’s often portrayed as a particularly strong Ghost-type in other Pokémon medias including Mystery Dungeon series, hence Sheer Force.

:electivire:
New Type: Electric / Fighting
Added Ability
: Iron Fist as second Ability (Elekid and Electabuzz gets Rivalry instead)
Movepool Additions: Mach Punch, Bulk Up, Swords Dance
Justification: There’s a lot of Monotype Electric, and Electivire just isn’t specialized enough when compared to other mono-Electric. With Fighting STAB, added Iron Fist due to already having lots of punching moves, and Bulk Up and Swords Dance to reflect it’s bulky appearance, Electivire can now stand out as a more proper set-up sweeper or wallbreaker. The reason for the Fighting-type is due to it’s pride in it’s physical strength and is highly combattive.

:magmortar:
New Type: Fire / Poison
Added Ability
: Mega Launcher as second Ability (Magby and Magmar gets Rivalry instead)
Movepool Additions: Dark Pulse, Smoky Pulsar*, Dragon Pulse, Nasty Plot, Calm Mind
Smoky Pulsar: Poison-type, Special, 80 Base Power, 30% chance of lowring the foe’s Speed by one stage, Pulse move
Justification: Figured Magmortar also receive similar treatment as a set-up wallbreaker, a rarity among Poison-types, with Smoky Pulsar added to allow Magmortar to take advantage of it’s new STAB and Ability. It’s weakness to Ground is worsened, but in exchange, it’s immune to Toxic and resists Grass further. For the addition of the Poison type itself, it is do to with the fact it and Magmar lives near or within volcanoes, which are knowj for polluting the air when active.

Submission phase ends tomorrow, which I will go for veto phase and see if there is any worrisome submissions that needs corrections or risk being vetoed.

Here we are, at the veto phase. There are two submissions I consider concerning, with suggestions.
:sv/dewgong:
Ability change: Hydratation => Water Bubble (or remane it as Hydrophilic or something else, but same effect than Water Bubble)
Movepool additions: Freeze Dry, Slack Off
Description: Help.
This thing is so terrible, even in gen 6 with an ability as broken as Water Bubble, I'm absolutely not sure it would become usable. At least it has Aqua Jet ? Slack Off is here mainly because I wanted it to gain at least something else to survive.
:sv/clefable:
Movepool addition: Light Of Ruin
Description: lol
For Dewgong, I would not underestimate Water Bubble if I were you. Water Bubble alone helped Araquanid to have a place even in tiers lower than UU, and that’s because of 2x Water on top of STAB that gives it insane firepower. Dewgong’s Hydro Pump, thanks to 70 SpA vs Araquanid’s 50, have the potential of OHKO or 2HKO most of the Pokémon that doesn’t resist Water, and others like Garchomp can be OHKO’d or close to with Freeze-Dry. Aqua Jet is also turned into Water Extreme Speed that can pick off Water-weak targets at full HP.

I leave up to the others if Water Bubble (or Hydrophilic) can stay or if it should absolutely be replaced by another Ability, given that Dewgong is slow Ice-type with average bulk, but Water Bubble alone can run risk of being insane and metagame-warping.

For Clefable, even if I would allow Light of Ruin be given to another Pokémon, Clefable is already considered as a viable OU pick in XY, so it’ll just make it even more powerful in an unhealthy way as now Life Orb Magic Guard Clefable can have a more powerful spammable STAB with only PP and chance of missing being it’s worry. I thusly consider it vetoed, no buts or ifs.

I’ll let others know if there are other submissions considered as veto-worthy and see if the council agrees or not. I’ll give 24 hours (or 48 if no one objected within 24 hours) for corrections to be made; no new submissions can be made by then.

With Freeze-Dry removed from Nanorex’s Dewgong (and the Clefable is clearly a joke), Nanorex’s Dewgong submission can now be legally voted.

This voting phase will be done as a top 5 voting, which means the first makes five points, second makes four, third makes three, fourth makes two and fifth makes one. For self-voting, it cannot be yor only votes, cannot vote for more than two of your submissions, and none are allowed to be first place.

At the end of the voting phase, the top three tied submissions win and apply to the Pet Mod, meaning we will have more than three winners if there are tied most voted submissions. As we have two submissions regarding Dewgong, only the higher scored Dewgong modification wins even if both are within the tied top three; in case of a tie, a tiebreaker between councils (Lysion, BlueRay and me) occurs.

We have approximatively 48 hours for the voting phase! This means it’ll end next Monday, around the same time.

Example
1st Vote - Pokémon by User
2nd Vote - Pokémon by User
3rd Vote - Pokémon by User
4th Vote - Pokémon by User
5th Vote - Pokémon by User

HELLO GUYS

TODAY WE HAVE A LIST OF TOP 5 SAFARIMON

1st Vote - Electivire by Samtendo
2nd Vote - Hypno by Naronex (sv)
3rd Vote - Galvantula by Naronex (sv)
4th Vote - Luxray by BlueRay
5th Vote - Magmortar by Samtendo
ULTIMATE VOTE - Clefable by Naronex

Given everything, I’ll extend it to at least two more days unless we get at least three more votes as we have not a single one until today by Nanorex (TY Nanorex, btw!)

As always I refrain from voting unless there’s only one or two more votes given until Wednesday, with council’s approval of course.

1st Vote - Klinklang by Naronex
2nd Vote - Seismitoad by Palpitoad Champ
3rd Vote - Galvantula by Naronex
4th Vote - Electivire by Samtendo09
5th Vote - Magmortar by Samtendo09

For some reason I did not see the message... So, I'm going to vote now. Btw., for next time, it wouldn't hurt to provide link showing you where submissions start when we vote. Makes it much easier to know which subs are in.

1st Vote - Dusknoir by Samtendo09
2nd Vote - Luxray by BlueRay (sv)
3rd Vote - Dewgong by DrPumpkinz
4th Vote - Rapidash by Lysion
5th Vote - Klinklang by Naronex

1st Vote - Dusknoir by Samtendo09
2nd Vote - Rapidash by Lysion (SV)
3rd Vote - Luxray by BlueRay
4th Vote - Klinklang by Naronex
5th Vote - Galvantula by Naronex

But everybody knows Light of Ruin Clefable should win, screw you Naronex

I consider there’s enough votes and points to determine the winners. And here they are!

Electivire by Samtendo 5 + 2 = 7
Hypno by Naronex (sv) 4
Galvantula by Naronex (sv) 3 + 3 + 1 = 7
Luxray by BlueRay 2 + 4 + 3 = 9
Magmortar by Samtendo 1 + 1 = 2
Klinklang by Naronex 5 + 1 + 2 = 8
Seismitoad by Palpitoad Champ 4
Dusknoir by Samtendo09 5 + 5 = 10
Dewgong by DrPumpkinz 3
Rapidash by Lysion 2 + 5 = 7

For 1st with ten points, my Dusknoir won with ten votes, BlueRay’s Luxray won 2nd with nine points, and Nanorex’s Klinklang wond third with eight points. (If there’s any miscount, let me know here!)

We can discuss the winners meanwhile while the council discuss next slate ideas, as I’ll be busy in the University today.
:sv/klinklang:
Ability change: Clear Body => Technician
Movepool addition:
Bulldoze
Description: Technician turns Klinklang into a really threatening physical steel sweeper. Bulldoze is the only cover it will gain but is already a real nuke against Heatran or Magnezone.
Luxray Buff:
- add Agility and Jump Scare. Reason: Former better enables Guts set in Singles, latter also synergizes with Guts to more reliably trigger a status condition through Flame Orb or Toxic Orb. Jump Scare has great utility in VGC where Luxray will be more able to shine. After all, it has Intimidate + Volt Switch to somewhat mirror Incineroar. Furthermore, mono Electric is decent enough to pressure M Charizard-Y and Talonflame while resisting Flying moves from the likes of Talonflame and M Salamence. Steel resistance can also be handy to switch into Aegislash or M Mawile. M Metagross as well if it's ever get included.

- add +11 HP. Reason: Plays with bulk numbers the way Arcanine does by comparison. To give an example, Arcanine has 90 HP, 80 Def, and 80 SpD. Buffed Luxray would have 91 HP, 79 Def, and 79 SpD. With improved bulky, Luxray can now better tank hits in VGC as it gets better EV flexibility.

As we are closer than before for Legends: Z-A’s release in one month, alongside the DLC announced (a first for a Legends game!), it’s only natural to get ready creating more Mega Evolutions on the way!

:sv/victreebel:Slate 7: Mega Discoveries:sv/malamar:

“As new Mega Evolutions are being discovered and under study within Lumiose City, there are a few more discovered outside of the city. Caution is advised when travelling outside of Lumiose City due to Rogue Mega Pokémon roaming around.”

The slate is simple; create new Mega Evolution for a Pokémon available in the Kalos Dex.
The following must be taken in mind:
+100 BST upon Mega Evolving, no exception
Be careful with stat distribution alongside the Ability given!
Only one Ability for the Mega Evolution
Can either be taking OU or VGC in mind
Paired Pokémon (i.e. Zangoose + Seviper, Durant + Heatmor) can be given as one submission
Can give both X and Y forms for one Pokémon that didn’t have one, or one new Mega for a Pokémon that already has one as long as it’s distinguishable from the original Mega
Up to three Mega Evolution submissions per user
In a situation the winner or ongoing submission ends up overlapping with an unrevealed Mega Evolution, it will be modified if it would end up overlapping with the official one.
The following Pokémon cannot receive a new Mega Evolution:
  • Charizard, Mewtwo, Raichu (First two already having two Mega Evolutions; the latter receiving them in Legends: Z-A’s DLC campaign)
  • Malamar, Victreebel, Hawlucha, Dragonite, Delphox, Greninja, Chesnaught (Already receiving a Mega Evo in Legends: Z-A)
  • Meganium, Feraligatr, Emboar (Very likely receiving a Mega Evo in Legends: Z-A given they are starters of that game)
  • 660+ BST Legendary / Mythical Pokémon (Most of them are already viable in Ubers and can cause power creep spiral out of control in VGC)
  • Ledian, Magcargo (Already received a regular Evolution; I don’t recommand giving one to Ledellar and Snaisland respectively as thise are currently classed as high-tier in the Discord server.)
  • Pokémon that received a Kalosian form, and Kalosian forms are also ineligible (No Pokémon gets a regional and a new Mega within the same new generation, and Kalosian forms not receiving one is to avoid making the original form even more obsolete)
The Slate ends the next Friday. Good luck!

Here goes!

:sv/hariyama:
Name: Hariyama-Mega
Type: Fighting
Abilities: Purifying Salt (backported from SV)
New Stats:
HP: 144
Attack: 120 -> 140 (+20)
Defense: 60 -> 80 (+20)
Special Attack: 40 -> 65 (+25)
Special Defense: 60 -> 80 (+20)
Speed: 50 -> 65 (+15)
(474 BST => 574 BST)
New Moves: Drain Punch, Court Change (backported from Gen 8)
Description: Status immunity is a cool niche to have, and Purifying Salt brings exactly that, with the added benefit of a Ghost resistance, useful to switch into Gengar, Hoopa, or the newly buffed and added Dusknoir. With its new opportunities for setup (allowing it to switch into a Scald easily) and its newly added bulk, it can easily setup with Bulk Up. It can also go utility route with Court Change, Knock Off, Toxic or Whirlwind.

Lore wise, it's a reference to sumos throwing salt onto the ring, as a purification ritual. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future we got Purifying Salt on Hariyama in any way, due to how fitting it would be.

:sv/lapras:
Name: Lapras-Mega
Type: Water/Ice
Abilities: Refrigerate
New stats:
HP: 130
Attack: 85 -> 120 (+35)
Defense: 80 -> 95 (+15)
Special Attack: 85 -> 105 (+20)
Special Defense: 95 -> 105 (+10)
Speed: 60 -> 80 (+20)
(535 BST => 635 BST)
New moves: None
Description:
Resub from M4A, I think it's a pretty cool mon here.
Back in DPP UU, Lapras had the good ol' niche of being a bulky Water. But! it had another surprising niche for only one generation: being a Dragon Dancer. It has good Atk, respectable Speed and nice bulk going for it, as well as Water + Ice being dangerous and near perfect coverage (you know, Iron Bundle...) And its only physical Ice move was Avalanche, so kinda bad for DD sets, so it just used Waterfall + Return. Now, it finally has a good physical Ice STAB, but it's Return, so it's basically a nice callack to this surprising niche.
Fun fact! It also has Vocal Strain! So you can even run a special set running Vocal Strain, Surf and Freeze-Dry! Overall a very, very good mon.
And it also has more bulk, and Cleansing Wave! You can also run it as a defensive Pokemon!

Name: Dodrio-Mega
Mega Stone: Dodrite
Stats
HP: 60
Atk: 110 =>130 (+20)
Def: 70 => 95 (+25)
SpA: 60 => 80 (+20)
SpD: 60 => 85 (+25)
Speed: 100 => 110 (+10)
BST => 560
Typing: Flying/Ground
Abilities:
Tough Claws
New Moves: Drill Run, Swords Dance, Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake
Height + Weight: 1,7 m (yeah, smaller than original, easier to move in the ground), 88 kg
Description: Now its beaks have become real drills, making it able to dig as fast in the ground than it's fast on the ground.
Competitive Uses: Now, Dodrio can become a little funny. One very common buff thought on Dodrio in many mods is giving it a ground type, but I always considered it not "groundy" enough to gain it logically. Well, a mega doesn't bother with this kind of problem.
With a classical 130 in speed conbined with SD, a great offensive typing and Tough Claws, Dodrio now becomes a very classical yet violent Swords Dancer (especially its Brave Bird).

EDIT : Oopsie doopsie too much power.

:sv/butterfree:
Name: Butterfree-Mega

BST => 495
Typing: Bug/Psychic
Abilities:
Magic Guard
New Moves: Future Sight, Psyshock
Height + Weight: 2,3 m 50 kg
Description: Very similar to G-max Butterfree, with a more eery aura.
Competitive Uses: Mega-free is more like an annoying support, not caring in the world about status moves, with a big Future Sight just in case. If you feel like it, you may also use it with a few Quiver Dances to just blow the team away once big physical threats are dealt with.

A pair of megas I'm repurposing from M4A. Zangoose's lenses become rose-tinted in the sense that it's seeing red and will Close Combat the shit out of Poison-types, while Seviper denies it the satisfaction by becoming immune and also dying I guess.

In terms of gameplay, Mega Zangoose loses a bit of power compared to its base form in exchange for greatly improved longevity. It's still frail, but at least now it resists Stealth Rock and isn't killing itself with Toxic Orb. It's also got an extra moveslot to play with, since instead of running Facade for neutral STAB and Close Combat for anti-Steel coverage, it can just run Close Combat and cover both. Meanwhile, Seviper can take on the role of a physical attacker with Swords Dance and Frustration, or it can go special with Wring Out (my beloved). Remember, we're in gen 6, so this style of ability still gives a 30% damage boost.

Well...look who's finally getting into this wire! You probably forgot this Pokémon even existed in the Kalos Pokédex...well, not anymore!

Abilities: Elemental Monarch: Before an enemy Pokémon uses a move on this Pokémon, this Pokémon switches types to that move's type. After an enemy Pokémon uses a move, if this Pokémon survives the move and knows a move with the same type as the move that the enemy Pokémon used, this Pokémon counterattacks with that move. If it knows two or more eligible moves, it will use one at random.
Weight: 6.8 kg.
Description: Mega Evolution allows Wormadam to FINALLY grow up into a beautiful butterfly just like Mothim! No longer merely existing, (The Pokédex DID only just describe about it's coat, after all) Mega Wormadam flies across areas that are rich in creativity, inspiring those who see it's beautiful wings to create wonderful projects beyond the eye can see. It's three wings are made of the three cloak materials that it originally gathered as a Burmy, and as it flies, it leaves behind dust that can awaken the elemental powers hidden within Pokémon. All three varieties of Wormadam Mega Evolve into the same Mega Form.
Competitive Uses: Mega Wormadam is best used as a Specially Defensive Pokémon, with it's unique ability forcing it's opponents to think twice once they have found out what it's in it's moveset. Each of Wormadam's three forms can serve a unique purpose in what types of moves it can counter with!
....Note to self: Always read the spreadsheet first. Otherwise, these two below sprites would have gotten a fair chance at this....

Mega Luvdisc
Mega evolves using the Luvdiscite

HP: 43

Ability: Primordial Sea (Backport from ORAS. Creates heavy rain as long as Mega Luvdisc is active, providing the usual effects of Rain, whilst also nullifying Fire moves. The rain stops only if a Pokemon with Desolate Land or Delta Stream is switched in.)
New Moves: Cleansing Wave, Play Rough, Moonblast, Fairy Wind, Recover, Helping Hand
Notable Moves:
Physical.png
Uh... Aqua Jet?
Special.png
Hydro Pump, Surf, Cleansing Wave, Moonblast, Ice Beam, Draining Kiss, (Icy Wind)
Status.png
Recover, (Helping Hand, Heal Pulse)
(Moves in parenthesis are only really useful in a VGC standpoint)
Height: 4 meters (from top to bottom)
Weight: 20 lbs, 9 kg

"A trainer who obtains Mega Luvdisc is said to have eternal love and blessings. The rain it brings along with it is considered sacred by many cultures."

Competitive Uses:
Luvdisc needs some love, so I gave it a Mega. I'm a big fan of Offensive spinners (mons like Starmie or Excadrill come to mind,) and Mega Luvdisc is a pretty good example of it. However, it can also go pure offense, as Hydro Pump hitting off of STAB and the Rain boost from Primordial Sea can provide it an Offensive Wallbreaker role. However, it is very frail, and its Speed wasn't buffed too much as to not outspeed Gengar, who can easily take it out with Sludge Wave. A few bulkier Pokemon can also withstand some hits, as its Moonblasts are not as powerful compared to Hydro Pump or Surf. As stated prior, Cleansing Wave also gives Luvdisc hazard removal, which could be useful for some teams, though it should not rely on being a hazard cleaner as it usually won't be able to withstand most hits. Priority is also another weakness, as it gets thrashed around by Bullet Punch and the like.

I also designed it with fast support for VGC teams in mind, as now it has quite a few useful utility moves, such as Helping Hand and Heal Pulse, although you will need to build a team around it, due to the everpresent weakness of its bulk. Unrestricted formats also have a few Pokemon that might outclass it, such as Xerneas. I imagine it would be pretty good with screens support, and nullifying Fire moves could also be a huge boon for Grass-types who are usually weak to such.

:sv/wigglytuff:
Name: Mega Wigglytuff (Wigglytuffite)
Type: Electric / Fairy
Abilities: Fur Coat
New Stats:
HP: 140
Attack: 60 -> 60 (+0)
Defense: 45 -> 55 (+10)
Special Attack: 85 -> 175 (+90)
Special Defense: 50 -> 70 (+20)
Speed: 45 -> 25 (-20)
(435 BST => 535 BST)
New Moves: Moonblast
Description: With the power of Mega Evolution, Wigglytuff’s soft fur extends so much that no only it softens physical blows, but it helps it conduct electricity by inflating and rubbing it’s cheeks. Once inflating like a hot air balloon, it can unleash a powerful jolt of electricity from all around it’s body.
Competitive Uses: Even with the newly gained Fairy-type, Wigglytuff’s low BST by Stone Evolution standards and awkward stat distribution left it in the dust competitively. Mega Wigglytuff allows it to finally make the most of it’s Special learnset and status moves, but also provide a powerful Electric-type wallbreaker with it’s 175 Special Attack, and Fur Coat finally allows it to make use of it’s high base HP. It’s bottom Speed means it’ll almost always move last in Singles, but can make for a terrifying Trick Room attacker in VGC.

:sv/tyrantrum: + :sv/aurorus:
Name: Mega Tyrantrum (Tyrantrumnite)
Type: Rock / Dragon
Abilities: Rough Skin
New Stats:
HP: 82
Attack: 121 -> 151 (+30)
Defense: 119 -> 149 (+30)
Special Attack: 69 -> 69 (+0)
Special Defense: 59 -> 69 (+10)
Speed: 71 -> 101 (+39)
(521 BST => 621 BST)
New Moves: Recover, Dragon Dance
Description: Upon Mega Evolving, Tyrantrum became even more voracious and violent than ever before, with it’s scales and plumage become heavily sharp, making it harmful to touch. There are debates among fossil scientists on whether or not this is Tyrantrum’s form in the past or if it is one of the consequences of Mega Evolution.
Competitive Uses: Mega Tyrantrum can either go for physical sweeping, with access to Dragon Dance and high Attack, or can go for a physical wall role with high Defense, Recover and Rough Skin to punish most contact attackers. The player can restrain from Mega Evolving for recoil-free Head Smash before going for the kill, leaving the opponent trying to scout.

Name: Mega Aurorus (Aurorusite)
Type: Rock / Ice
Abilities: Arctic Prism
(Arctic Prism: On switch-in, the wielder matches the facing opponent’s type, unless that opponent have the Multitype Ability. Apply after the effect of entry hazards. The first and second move slots then matches the user’s primary and secondary type, respectively, but no boost unlike the -ate Abilities. Stealth Rock damage calculation remains the same regardless of the wielder’s type.)
New Stats:
HP: 123
Attack: 77 -> 77 (+0)
Defense: 72 -> 92 (+20)
Special Attack: 99 -> 149 (+50)
Special Defense: 92 -> 132 (+40)
Speed: 58 -> 48 (-10)
(521 BST => 621 BST)
New Moves: Recover, Calm Mind
Description: Upon Mega Evolving, Aurorus scales and feathers both gleam like a rainbow, being able to copy the type of their opponent and even apply it to some of it’s moves. It is currently unknown if it was it’s true self in the past, or a result of the unpredictable effect of Mega Evolution that depends on the species.
Competitive Uses: Aurorus, being a slow Ice-type with a horrid defensive type combination, isn’t going anywhere even with it’s Mega, so an Ability that allows it to shed it’s weaknesses and copy the opponent’s own STABs can go a long way. Freeze-Dry is always Super Effective against Water regardless of that move’s type, so it can be used as a funky STAB that no Water-type may want to switch-in. It can also be used to turn Thunder Wave into a non-Electric move that Paralyzes Ground-type akin to Glare.

:sv/wormadam-sandy::sv/palossand:
Name: Wormadam-Sandy
Type: Bug/Ground
Ability: Technician

Stats:
Hp: 60
Att: 79 -> 124 (+45)
Def: 105 -> 140 (+35)
SpA: 59
SpD: 85 -> 105 (+20)
Spe: 36

Movepool Additions: Rapid Spin, Recover, Sand Tomb, Twineedle
Flavor: Wandy is a crafty little guy and builds himself a sand castle to sit in and fortify himself.
Description: Wandy here directly competes with Scizor as a Bug mega with Technician, but while Scizor is an offensive juggernaut, Wandy is a more defensive mon that isn't passive. Wandy utilizes Bulldoze, Rock Tomb, Twineedle, and Rapid Spin for both solid powered utility moves. It also packs Rocks and recovery, allowing it to function effectively as a wall. Wandy has a limited movepool, however, it does have several potential set options (fit as much utility as possible vs run some more offensive moves; stab moves or rock coverage). It also can slot Bug Bite in VGC to steal berries.

:sv/crobat::sv/frogadier:
Name: Crobat
Type: Poison/Flying
Ability: Poison Point

Stats:
Hp: 85

SpA: 70 -> 90 (+20)
SpD: 80 -> 100 (+20)
Spe: 130 -> 140 (+10)

Movepool Additions: Acid Armor, Ninjitsu, Toxic Spikes
(Ninjitsu: Dark-type Body Press.)
Flavor: Crobat becomes sleek and ninja esce, while having its ears turn into prominent spikes.
Description: I am stealing this idea, Once Again, from XtheGAMEmaster. I don't know why I like this guy so much. The point is to poison (not badly poison) the opponent using Poison Point/Toxic Spikes, while utilizing Acid Armor + Ninjitsu to avoid passivity. Yes you can also Badly Poison, but regular Poison actually does more damage immediately, making it more effective against teams that wish to pivot around like crazy. Also fast walls are super cool.

Movepool Additions: Parting Shot
Flavor: Mightyena gets a bear trap looking jaw and a more mangy looking mane.
Description: Did you know that Hyenas can crush bone with their bites? Mightyena utilizes a mixture of stab Crunch, Super Fang, and the elemental fangs to weaken the opponent, making it hard to answer and set up for its allies by switching out with PShot afterwards.

Combee was too powerful so here's Regigigas instead

Description:
Competitive
- As the fastest Ice Pkm in the tier, Mega Cryogonal can provide powerful speed control in Icy Wind. If you need more fire power, there's always Frost Breath. These two moves are boosted by Technician, and so are moves like Hidden Power, Water Pulse or Ancient Power. Which can be very useful in Singles to get past would-be checks, such as Ferrothorn or Volcanion.
- While Mega Cryogonal already naturally learns Flash Cannon, I imagine the secondary typing is used more defensively. First, to mitigate the Stealth Rock weakness. Secondly, in VGC, Mega Cryogonal can better resist attacks from Mega Gardevoir, Mega Kangashkan (so long as you avoid Power-Up Punch), and Mega Salamence, among others.
- Bulk is sufficient enough to comfortably tank Sucker Punch from Mega Kangashkan. Funnily enough, if Rain is up, Mega Cryogonal can even survive Heat Wave from Mega Charizard Y in VGC.
- With barely any viable Ice Pkm in Kalos VGC, Mega Cryogonal stands out with its mix of utility (like speed control), offense, and useful resistance profile. Singles appreciate a new viable Rapid Spin user that is immune to Poison and exerts good offensive pressure.

Approximatively 24 hours remaining!

Be sure to finish your submissions, refine them as needed, and have your ideas ready before we go into the veto phase.

As a Tough Claws Mega, we found that it’s too fast for the metagame given 130 Speed is very high in the context of XY, back when around 100 Speed is considered as great. Reducing the Speed to 110 (and relocate 20 points somewhere else, preferably Special Attack) will makes it easier to outspeed and revenge kill with Scarfed Pokémon.

EAT SHIT FLYGON YOUR ASS IS NEVER GETTING A MEGA
In case anyone didn’t caught, this is clearly a joke and is vetoed by virtue of that only fully evolved Pokémon can receive a Mega Evolution.

Abilities: Elemental Monarch: After an enemy Pokémon uses a move, if this Pokémon survives the move and knows a move with the same type as the move that the enemy Pokémon used, this Pokémon counterattacks with that move: if it was an attacking move, the move's power is doubled during this. If it knows two or more edible moves, it will use one at random.
Lysion isn’t a fan of this concept, and I can see why. The Ability makes it match-up fishing as not a lot of opponents will use a Grass or Ground moves, while Steel is a rare offense type. And even then, by switching in at the right move for example, being able to deal double damage with it’s compatible special move with any of the following (Bug Buzz, Flash Cannon, Earth Power, Giga Drain, Shadow Ball especially) can make it very annoying to fight against.

I suggest removing the power increase but allows Wormadam to shift into the matching type before the move hit, regardless or not Mega Wormadam have a move of that type, ala “the better Color Change / defensive Protean”, to make it a lot less match-up fishy and make it much more defensively solid. The Ability can remain the same otherwise. It will gain a type effectiveness with this reworked Ability in mind:
  • Neutral: Normal, Fighting, Rock, Ground, Flying, Bug, Fairy
  • Resist: Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Ice, Psychic, Poison, Dark, Steel
  • Weakness: Ghost, Dragon

With Nanorex’s Mega Dodrio and Ubertrainer’s Mega Wormadam adjusted accordingly, we can now open the voting slate.

This voting phase will be done as a top 5 voting, which means the first makes five points, second makes four, third makes three, fourth makes two and fifth makes one. For self-voting, it cannot be your only votes, cannot vote for more than two of your submissions, and none are allowed to be first place.

At the end of the voting phase, this time the top five submissions win and apply to the Pet Mod, and it is possible we will have more than five winners if there are tied most voted submissions. Paired submissions (Mega Zangoose + Mega Seviper, Mega Tyrantrum + Mega Aurorus) must be put in one vote altogether, not seperately.

We have two submissions of one Pokémon; PalpitoadChamp’s Wormadam-Sandy and Ubertrainer’s Wormadam, so in case both got into the top 5, they’ll be both winners with the Mega X one being exclusive to the Sandy form.

As already mentioned above, DrPumkin’s Mega Trapinch is vetoed and cannot be voted on.

We have approximatively 48 hours for the voting phase! This means it’ll end next Monday, around the same time.

Example
1st Vote - Pokémon by User
2nd Vote - Pokémon by User
3rd Vote - Pokémon by User
4th Vote - Pokémon by User
5th Vote - Pokémon by User
