Hilarious NPC Quotes

So like what on Earth is with Hapu asking mudsdale if they should stomp the 2 team skull, and it'll be a mess to clean up afterwards? People don't have their mons kill people on this game lol, or the criminals might actually change XD.

Hapu's just getting the point across to the Skull Grunts that messing with Mudsdale isn't a good idea. Because, Mudsdale COULD easily kill a person/people by stomping on them and it would be a very messy affair. Of course it won't, but still if it can easily, quickly, and messily kill someone that's a creature you don't want commanded to tackle or kick you even when it's holding back; you'll still be knocked back several feet and be on your back/face.

Just ask that Rocket Grunt in the Johto games who Lance's Dragonite used a Hyper Beam on. Probably not a full force Hyper Beam, but enough to send that guy flying across the room, up against the wall, left completely winded.

I just found it a neat little foreshadow of later gens/9 when may after 2nd oras fight says her dad says there used to be way more mons. Obvi not the first time, I knew of no paradoxes duh, but after the fact on replay seemed neat.

I think this actually refers to the Dexnav spawns being significantly expanded after the story climax. If I remember right, the explanation for that happening was more-or-less that the upheaval made conditions more favourable for mons that used to live in Hoenn so they came back.

Lida: “I think it’s getting angry! Be careful!”

Me running for my life from the Rogue Mega Barbaracle: Yeah. I know it’s angry and I’m being careful.
Yeah every Rogue Mega fight seemed to have the same dialogue. But it was probably very useful for younger players. Mega evolve now!!!

My particular favorite from a group of 4 kids:

"We could be the next Elite 4!"
"But two of us like the same Type"

That said, in context it's also funny. The reason Resix is saying that isn't because the player/Michael is there, but because this is the second time you encounter the Hexagon Brothers and they had a whole bit where they do a counting roll call... except they keep counting till they get to eight. This after your first encounter with them where they first attempt to do a counting roll call, except the brother who initiates the roll call doesn't count themselves so they only get up to five. Later on when Cipher takes over Phanec Town and they're all impersonating Justy they do a callback to this moment by doing a countdown instead, finally getting to the right number. Unfortunately for them it doesn't last as in the postgame they've gone back to the Shadow Pokemon Lab where they're doing a counting roll call again and somehow get to nineteen.

In Ultra Sun/Moon, there's a small sidequest where you reunite two Pyukumuku on the beach. The Swimmer tells you that the Pyukumuku's mate was thrown into the sea by a part-time Pyukumuku chucker, which can come off harshly given that that's likely what you were just doing for the 20 grand.

In addition, after you finish the quest, the heartwarming moment is immediately followed by a scene where a little boy comes along and chucks the mate Pyukumuku back into the sea, rendering it all for nothing.
