SPINDOWN

5pp/100% accuracy
Move automatically fails if the user has not been participated in active battle for 6 turns or longer (Switch outs do not reset this but do stop the "charge").
When a Pokemon is hit with this move; TRANSFORM the target Pokemon into a Pokemon that is 1 space lower in the Pokedex (i.e Blaziken becomes Combusken). The TRANSFORMed Pokemon retains their moves, EVs/IVs, Item, and Nature, but changes their stats and typing into the Pokemon they TRANSFORM into.
OHKOs Bulbasaur.
If Charjabug uses this move, the target Pokemon instead TRANSFORMS into a Pokemon that is 2 spaces lower in the Pokedex.

The move being minus as fuck on block is why the protect tidbit is there. Functionally, it’s just the Jump Kick / Hi Jump Kick miss condition.
mixed up plus and minus whoopsies...
however sun tsu is famously quoted as saying "you're only minus if you're a bitch" in his famous literary work "the art of neutral"

i'm quite a big fan of rpg characters like ochette from ot2 that are significantly designed around summoning monsters in battle, and i think a monster capturing system would be a really cool and interesting potential addition to pokemon. thoughts on this?
Eh seems dumb

I’ve started working on some moves inspired by the broken monstrosity that is Meta Knight’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl iteration, and since Smash conveniently tends to use special moves for Pokémon’s attacks anyway, I wanted to see what I could come up with for what many believe to be the best Smash fighter of all time in competitive play (though in recent years I think Icies have given more arguments to rise to #1 in Brawl’s modern meta). While I’m still working on this, let me give you a brief preview of Mach Tornado, his neutral special move.

Name: Mach Tornado
Type: ???
Base Power: ???
Number of hits: 10
Accuracy: 100
Power Points: 24

I’m also looking forward to maybe making more of those “Traptanium” attacks I was talking about just for simple fun, so maybe I’ll post those at some point too when I come up with newer ideas.

Once you reach 1500 elo, in each game a random move of a random pokemon is greyed out until you switch them out for the first time. This will happen every game until you go back under 1500 elo.
