Welcome to the fifth LC Classic! Part of the official LC Tournament Circuit, this is where you can test your mettle against the top players in the community and demonstrate your ability in the previous generations of Little Cup. Participants will compete in separate, single elimination tournaments for generations 3-8 of Little Cup, culminating in playoffs. Players will earn points towards the 2026 LC Circuit based on their playoff performance.
This tournament format should be familiar to anyone who has participated in Smogon's Grand Slam or Classic tournaments. The format consists of six separate tournaments: the SWSH LC Cup, the SM LC Cup, the ORAS LC Cup, the BW LC Cup, the DPP LC Cup, and the ADV LC Cup. Each participant will earn points based on how far they advance in each Cup (best finish limit of 3; see here for more details), following a similar point system used in Grand Slam and other tours (see here for more details). When all six Cups have been completed, the 16 players with the most points will advance to the playoffs. In playoffs, players will have 24 hours after the announcement of pairings to rank their tier preferences from most preferred to least preferred. Then, we will pick the higher seed's two highest tiers, followed by the lower seed's two highest unpicked tiers, followed by the higher seed's higher pick amongst the remaining two tiers. Then, they will compete in a best-of-five series where the higher seed selects the first generation played, then the loser of each game selects from the remaining unplayed generations.
