"Darkrai - It's actually a new ability, but it's literally Bad Dreams 2, damages for 1/4 instead of 1/8

Clefable - Magic Bounce

New stuff:

Staraptor (and by extension Crabominable) - confirmed that out of the 2 variants it was Contrary

Eelektross - name is Dark Current, no eff just yet

Tatsugiri - no new ability, but not mentioned if it keeps commander or replace with another preexisting one

Excadrill - actual effect confirmed contact moves ignore and break all of the following: protect, substitute, screens "

So excadrill gets better unseen fist got it.
 
Do you guys think tomorrow all remaining 35 mega evolution's ability will be revealed? Since we are getting Legends: Z-A home compatibility update which might allow us to see mega ability, luckily home is still on switch one which could be datamined by dataminers? So will we get ability or they will hide it in home somehow?
 
I see Champion OU option on main server and I also see light for Legends: Z-A OU petmon format, well this wasn't a perfect journey but Z-A OU truly felt like a real format after standard generational ou and national dex ou, ZA OU might be most played since Legends Z-A OU, Thank you Z-A OU and thank you Dhelmise I am grateful for experience, this is truly most fanmade and as well as most official metagame, I haven't been consistently active here but it was Great whenever I was all 79 pages of history some arguments and some suggestions, some patches, Z-A OU will not be forgotten despite not having alomomola in the tier well thank you

It’s actually Chamoins OU. It’s the new Metagame completely unrelated to Pokemon Champions. You can tell since it doesn’t set your levels to 50.
 
Ok Scovillain’s ability is pretty good all things considered. We can work with this, just put Synthes-

It’s an April Fool’s day meta. It was just for April 1st and all it did was put all Megas (with known abilities) of legal Pokemon into SVOU Metagame.
That’s it. You had shit like Mega Gengar, Mega Mence, and Megagross running around.

I have to believe there's more to scovillain than that. Even gamefreak wouldn't make an ability that bad....right?
Spicy Spray is actually a really good ability.
In Hackmons, people were using Cramorant-Groging because that form specifically paralyzed you for attacking it. It even got banned from BH too.
If there is a problem with Mega Scovillain, it’s definitely not the ability.

I should have been more specific, it's a bad ability for mega scovillain. An ability that requires getting hit on a mega that has moderately low speed and bulk would need to be really busted, and while gurenteed burn is good It definitely is nowhere near good enough to justify use

Even compared to cramprant, paralyze is a much more crippling effect most the time

Mega Scovillain is frail, yes, but it's bulky enough with investment to survive a lot or attacks.
252 Atk Orichalcum Pulse Koraidon Scale Shot (4 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Scovillain-Mega: 184-220 (55 - 65.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Koraidon with Orichalcum Pulse effectively has 196 Atk and Scale Shot effectively has 100 BP. Scovillain can survive a hit and because Koraidon is burned for the next turn (or was burned in the middle of it, which is better for Scovillain) it also can tank another 4 hit Scale Shot.
Also for comparison:
252 Atk Orichalcum Pulse Koraidon Scale Shot (4 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Quagsire: 184-220 (46.7 - 55.8%) -- approx. 3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Quagsire tanks about 10% more damage and is regarded as a great wall because if its ability in Unaware.

Mega Scovillain's actual issue is lack of recovery, which even the other low BST defensive staples like Clefable and Quagsire have, and has to hold a Mega Stone too. If Scovillain does get recovery, it will definitely be viable. With Synthesis, it could switch in, force Pokemon out, recover, then switch out to burn something else later on.

Even if Scovillain gains Synthesis it'll have issues staying alive without a lot of team support.

Plus if it's allowed to exist in formats with Tera it won't be able to do its job consistently. Tera Fire is already valid option for some physical sweepers; it's even used by Koraidon, I believe.

I think Scovillain being weak to hazards is workable for how strong that ability is if it could heal with more than just Rest. We're talking about guaranteed burns for even touching Mega Scovillain. That's pretty ruinous for most physical attackers and still is bad for any other Pokemon not immune to burn.
You switch in Scovillain into a Grassy Glide, bam it's now ruined.
Switch into Great Tusk Rapid Spinning or even a Headlong Rush, bam it's now burned.
Samurott-H? Ceaseless Edge now half damage and Scovillain threats to KO it easily.
Tons of Pokemon get ruined or severally crippled by Scovillain simply coming in.
Those burns last the entire game and for your teammates to capitalize on.
If it can do that multiple times per match, it would be a really good and really worth just some of the support it needs. It currently can't, but if Champions does give it Synthesis or Morning Sun, it would definitely see a ton of use.
 
Speed Boost on Mega Zeraora useless or broken?
I don't know about broken, but Speed Boost would allow it to minimize its Speed investment. It's so stupidly fast that at +1 it's going first 99% of the time. Could run an Adamant nature (maybe Naughty if you want to do some spicy mixed attacking stuff idk) and only enough Speed EVs to prevent a Scarfer from revenge killing. Probably dump some points into defenses, too.
