Pokemon Home - Shiny Meltan (LGPE) and Keldeo (SwSh) dex rewards

The likely answer is the first thing I said then. If you scanned Eternal Flower Floette early on or have ever had one hacked into any gen 6 or 7 save file, it caused chaos on your Home account's Pokedex flags, causing a bunch of flags which shouldn't be checked to become checked. That's where all my Pikachu entries came from. It never was in the Home dex officially, but Home didn't have any error handling for people who had that entry through either the QR code pack, or through having hacked it.

Fair enough. It was a few years ago and I was doing a bunch of different things in an attempt to fill up the shiny dex by pretty much whatever means I could.

Wonder if this will specifically align with the Z-A Home Update. That'd be nice.

It'd also be nice if they made a Spinda that could be transferred.

And lift the ban on Zygarde being transferred! Which if there's a Kalos tour next February likely means more of them, so fingers crossed...

yeah I assume Zygarde was just waiting for a wider spread release.
Like I guesssssss they could keep it to the one (1) you get out of the research and just grind raids for mega energy (& cells) but Eternatus this aint. People who would whale have had plenty of time to power up their Zygardes and you only need so much energy casually. So let loose the zygardes to have people grind out for shinies or hundos and more cells for those shundos.

Z-A's update is finally here
It also lets you use the new Latin American Spanish options.

There's a dex for the regular, hyperspace and mega dexes. There's currently no reward

And funnily enough they're doing the thing again where there's challenges (one for each dex, darkrai, floette and zygarde) that are there internally but not actually accessible. So we'll probably get some random soft update in the future and that'll be when we get the reward. So silly...

It does check for them, but they don't count toward determining crown status. I haven't played online since season 1, so I don't have any of the ranked mega stones except Greninja, and Home's mega evolution dex says 87/93 with the missing entries grayed out but still gives a crown for that.

This same technology could be used to change the behavior of other games' dex listings with respect to supernumerary mythicals (for example, they could change Let's Go Kanto dex to be out of 153, but have the crown still only need the first 150; similarly WW/IL/Pecharunt extending the Blueberry dex to 243). No such plans beside the mega dex have yet been announced.

Honestly if they should extend it to anything it should be the L:A dex. It was always odd to me that you had to have the Shaymin & Darkrai to crown that dex since those required save data bonuses. That's not quite on the level of wifi-locked events but it seemed a similar wheelhouse.

It's too bad that Size Classification appears to be a viewable metric in the mobile version only for Pokémon that have been to LZ-A. I understand that the Size Classifications used in LZ-A have different ranges from the size ranges used in SV, but still.

On the other hand, I placed my Alpha Mr. Rime from LA into an LZ-A box in the Switch version just to see if its Alpha symbol would reappear, and it did! I didn't save to check it ingame, but it was something I was wondering ever since they revealed Alphas for LZ-A. To those who didn't know, when you evolved an Alpha from LA into a Pokémon that can't move back into LA, it would no longer display the Alpha symbol on its summary anywhere in HOME (outside of the Alpha Mark in SV, I guess).

In my case, I had caught an Alpha Mime Jr. in LA and moved it to SS to evolve it to Galarian Mr. Mime and then Mr. Rime, and since there was no longer a way to view its info for LA in HOME, it "lost" its Alpha symbol. I'm not planning to move my Alpha Mr. Rime into LZ-A permanently to check, but it was promising to see that it showed the Alpha symbol as soon as I test-placed it in LZ-A.

They pushed a small update with the release of Champions so abilities of the megas (& maybe some other stuff?) could be seen. This also added the 4 new abilities to the ability dex.

Seems in order to have them, you need to have the Pokemon touch Champions. Doesn't sound like you need the mega stones (granted, only found that out after buying them...) and the game doesn't matter.

I was able to register the new Abilities by just sending and re-depositing the Pokémon from Z-A. I figured it wouldn’t auto-register them even though I registered the new Megas last week, but I was pleased to find that I didn’t need to download Champions to register them.

Oh cool, so its' like how sometimes the Bank -> Home transfer wouldn't register a move or ability so you had to redeposit them.
