Pokemon Home - Shiny Meltan (LGPE) and Keldeo (SwSh) dex rewards

So close now. I blitzed both Brilliant Diamond and Sword dexes for HOME with mostly planned breeding so all that remains is Sinnoh origin Milo (do I trade evo in another game since I plan to get NSO anyway or suck it up with poffins), Aromatisse, and Palkia. Honestly I swear Galar went by quicker despite having twice the mons I needed to register solely because breeding feels worse in BD on top of the clunky movement. Good thing the rewards are so good because otherwise I don't think I would have ever been this finished. Whatever size ZA dex is, its probably going to feel like a breeze by comparison.

I completed the HOME Sinnoh Dex only last week, with Milotic being the final one registered. There is a Berry combination that I found online that makes a batch of poffins that worked to evolve Feebas: Oran, Wiki, Razz, and Kelpsy. Use one of each and you’ll make four poffins that shoold be enough to evolve Feebas when it levels up (but just in case of mistakes while cooking, save before making the batch of poffins).

If you lack one of these berries, I believe there are a few NPCs in Sinnoh who you can reset in front of until they give you the desired Berry. Overall, I find the poffins method with these four berries to be very simple.

Peace at last

(...kinda. Still ~20 off on the Go Dex but that one's an endless task. Managed to snag a Go-native Mudbray off the GTS the other day, though! Someone got sloppy not making that a completely impossible trade, I've seen people asking for level 1-10 Zacian for it)

Any clue how many are left for the Go Dex (not sure if it tracks everything including currently-unobtainable species).

The Go Dex tracks every non-Mythical (for clarity, since they obviously are in a weird spot in the main line games right now: Walking Wake & Iron Leaves are counted) and lists everything from Bulbasaur to Terapagos. Spinda & Zygarde currently cannot be transferred (the former probably never will, the latter presumably waiting for a wide release) but are in the dex. You can get cross-gen evolutions that aren't in Go yet (Kingambit, Farigiraf, Basculegion, Dudunsparce and we'll get access to Diplin and Hydrapple in another couple of weeks) since it just tracks the origin mark.

So currently, with the release of Tinkatink, the Go Dex goes up to 881/1004.

To add to the last answer, Gens I, II, III, and V are complete while VI is almost done - Volcanion is coming in a few weeks, and then it's just the Honedge line to go. Manaphy, Phione, and Arceus are still missing from IV, while the other generations have a sizeable amount of missing species left.

I may be misremembering but I thought shiny Zac&Zam were tradeable since their shiny release in Go. Or is that only via friend-to-friend trading and not over the GTS?

With the recent addition of Indeedee, the transferable Go dex is at an even 900 (excluding mythicals, which don't count in Home's reckoning of the Go dex).

And now I've reached that point without making any actual transfers from Go myself, just keeping tabs on the GTS. Still no reward for reaching any particular Go dex threshold, only the G-max Melmetal for making the first transfer (so I've never received that gift yet).

Shiny Koraidon, you utterly sexy creature, let me just bask for a moment in your incomparable beauty

...Okay I'm done basking and now I have a question. Having recently acquired the two bikes and all four Treasures of Ruin in shiny form, I opened the dex on Home and selected "shiny". This has shown me that, of 1446 Pokemon there are to see (as the Home National Dex shows not just each individual Pokemon but also permanent form differences, mega evolutions, Gigantamax forms, in-battle form changes, and so on) I have 1410.

I'm pretty sure I have every released shiny registered (and a couple of unreleased - it's possible to get shiny dex entries for all Pokemon from Gen VII and below, including Ash-Greninja, registered via some messing around); I have a spreadsheet I've been checking off but it seems the count is skewed somewhere, because my list of missing shinies only goes up to 33.

They are:

World Cap Pikachu
Gigantamax Melmetal
Eternatus
Eternatus (Eternamax) edit: should have clarified, this one IS available but cannot be traded over Home
Kubfu
Urshifu-Single
Urshifu-Rapid
Gigantamax Urshifu-Single
Gigantamax Urshifu-Rapid
Zarude
Zarude-Dada
Glastrier
Spectrier
Calyrex
Calyrex (Ice Rider)
Calyrex (Shadow Rider)
Ursaluna (Bloodmoon)
Gimmighoul (Roaming)
Walking Wake
Iron Leaves
Okidogi
Munkidori
Fezandipiti
Ogerpon
Ogerpon-Hearthstone
Ogerpon-Wellspring
Ogerpon-Cornerstone
Gouging Fire
Raging Bolt
Iron Boulder
Iron Crown
Terapagos (its other forms are not registered)
Pecharunt

I'm not 100% certain if Eternal Floette should be on this list? I know it had an entry in earlier builds of Home but my understanding was that later builds had removed it - if so, we are at 34. Anyone got any idea what I'm missing?

Not that it helps add to your list, but Eternatus was distributed at the end of SwSh, and roaming gimmighoul was also made available in GO (though I haven't tested if it can be transferred). Are you sure the unreleased shiny mythicals prior to gen 8 are counted here?

Shiny Eternatus cannot yet be traded over Home unfortunately, and the shiny release for Roaming Gimmighoul in Go was for a costume variant that cannot be transferred.

Yes, this is counting all of the following:

-all the cap Pikachu apart from World Cap (they all display as regular Pikachu, as they don't have a programmed-in shiny palette)
-Pokeball Vivillon
-Ash-Greninja in its base form (because this is counted as a whole separate form)
-Ash-Greninja in its powered-up form
-Hoopa Confined
-Hoopa Unbound
-Volcanion
-Cosmog
-Cosmoem
-Magearna-ordinary
-Magearna-original
-Marshadow

Incorrect, all roaming gimmighoul could be shiny not just the "costume". I have one!

They could?! Reddit failed me in that case, I'm sure I read that only the costume one could be shiny.

I'm afraid you can probably guess what I'm going to ask you in this case...

Were your Gen 7 mythicals/unscannable Pikachu from Eternal Flower Floette non-sense or did you somehow find scannable QRs for the shinies?

Second one, though with the shiny Pikachu it's possible to get them in-game in USUM due to a bug (I did not subject myself to this process however)

Can you please link said QR codes? And only Partner Cap was huntable. The other QR codes are as far as I'm aware, impossible to generate due to a missing encryption key. If you actually have them, that is MASSIVE information. I've had a QR generator made for me, and generating them as normal Pokedex QRs turns them into wonder QRs.

I'm in Home now, again.

e: Right let's try an actual schedule. I will be online at Noon my time, so approximately an hour & a half.

Ta, noted.

You're right, my bad - it's been so long I quite misremembered.

You're also correct that the five Gen VII shinies aforementioned don't exist in the collection of QRs I downloaded years ago. Hmmm... okay, that's weird. I'm not sure how I got those ones, then, unless it was by syncing with someone who'd cheated for them (which is quite likely, I've synced with a few people who hack).

edit: yes, it would have been the giveaway. I won a giveaway on Reddit a couple of years ago which gave me all the Pokemon from the 3DS games in shiny form - minus the unavailable ones, but it also gave me Pokedex entries for those.

The likely answer is the first thing I said then. If you scanned Eternal Flower Floette early on or have ever had one hacked into any gen 6 or 7 save file, it caused chaos on your Home account's Pokedex flags, causing a bunch of flags which shouldn't be checked to become checked. That's where all my Pikachu entries came from. It never was in the Home dex officially, but Home didn't have any error handling for people who had that entry through either the QR code pack, or through having hacked it.
