Here are some more of the maybe not OU viable Pokemon that are still very much improved and possibly have a niche:
Okay, I know I just said that these were "hidden" gems, so what am I doing putting Lando-T on here? Well, as it turns out, Lando-T didn't gain much, as it only really got Storm Strike. Because of this, as with any new metagame, bread-and-butter stuff like Lando could get pushed aside due to new toy syndrome. However, Landorus does something very, VERY important: checks Togedemaru. Due to it's Ground-typing, the little monster can't do anything with Wild Charge, which is half of the reason why its damage output is so ridiculous. Any Ground-type can boast that, however, the second great thing is Intimidate. Intimidate lowers Togedaemaru's Attack, so Iron Head won't do that much. Out of the Pokemon that have Intimidate or resist Steel, Lando is probably the most viable. Plus, this thing can set rocks, Defog away hazards and Trick Room, U-Turn into the countless sweepers in the meta, and even check of couple other notable threats, namely Stakataka, Mega Gallade, and Mega Scizor. So, the moral of the story is, don't forget where you came from, okay?
Leavanny regularly is left in the dust as a Sticky Webs to the point where I'm sure some people would say that Ariados is better (and, I mean, it does have Toxic Spikes and Toxic Thread). However, in SylveMons, Leavanny is a very interesting Sticky Web setter. With Swarm-boosted Twineedle and Bug Bite, plus already having access to Magic Coat, Leavanny is a cool anti-lead Webber. Twineedle can break sashes or spread poison, Bug Bite removes items and does a ton of damage, and Magic Coat bounces back hazards,, plus Leavanny sets up Webs like it always did. Opposing leads would probably hate to face this thing, as they could easily be taken out or crippled without getting up hazards and now have to deal with webs. The only things really hold Leavnny back are its awkward speed tier and that Sticky Web isn't super viable when Aurora Veil exists. However, if you ever want to build a Webs team, please consider this.
Scrappy now applies to all immunities.
Kommo-o now gets Scrappy.
One of the problems with Clangorous Soulblaze was that Fairy-types can just switch-in.
Do you see where I'm going with this? Anything switching into CSB is getting hit up, no doubts about it. Then, everything can get hit by +1 (or more) Close Combats and +1 Clanging Scales, overall giving Kommo-o at least some usability.

In a Trick Room dominated metagame, Marowak of course gets some notoriety. However, the defensive set of metagame trends' past should really be getting some love, for the same reason as Lando in fact: Togedemaru. Togedemaru can't touch Marowak unless it runs Thief of all things. This makes bulky Marowak an extraordinary check, as it also resists Iron Head and U-Turn and is immune to Reversal and Fake Out. Plus, it can burn Toge, now has Moonlight, and Thick Club allows it to kinda-sorta absorb Knock Offs. Plus, it can serve as a better check to Tapu Koko, the other Pikaclones (be wary of Knock Off), Tapu Bulu, Magearna, and more thanks to reliable recovery. Obviously, the sneaky pebbles weakness and the Ground weakness still hurt Marowak's viability, but if you need a Togedemaru check or an Electric check in general, this may be something to consider.
Tough Claws-boosted Pluck does A LOT of damage. I mean, A LOT of damage. Like, OHKOing Starmie kinds of damage. In fact, this one addition to Aerodactyl's movepool makes it a nightmare for offensive mons to switch into, as they will either die immediately or get dented and lose their item. Plus, outside of Trick Room, Mega Aerodactyl is one of the fastest (read: viable) things in the whole metagame, so it will outspeed the majority of offensive Pokemon, thus forcing switches. Mega Aerodactyl has always been an amazing UU Pokemon that was right on the verge of being OU, and this might be the boost it needed.
I could just say "it checks Togedemaru" and be done with it, but no, let me give you more for once. With Recrystalize and Bulletproof, Mega Steelix is an interesting wall. Aside from Togemaru, this boi checks Tapu Koko, the other Pikaclones, Stakataka, Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, and even Mega Charizard Y, Lampent/Chandelure. Bulletproof allows Mega Steelix to things that most other Ground or Steel-types could only dream of, like being immune to Fire Blast and Focus Blast while being able to heal up at any time.
Just wait until Reverse Core is coded and then you'll all be sorry.
In related news, Regice right now isn't that terrible, with Hail's new 1.5x defense boost, and reliable recovery.

Very very soon (as soon as tomorrow), we will hold a SylveMons "Room" Tournament for metagame development purposes. The tournament will be single elimination and will hosted on Dragon Heaven. Because we are trying to develop the metagame, in implore you to save all replays.
Suspects: The SylveMons council have taken a tiny bit of action regarding suspects. The following are high up on our watchlist, in order of most concerning to least concerning:
- Togedemaru and the Pichu line's access to Wild Charge
- Time Warp
- Togedemaru
During the upcoming roomtour, I encourage you to share your thoughts on these suspects.

The room tour happened today and it went extraordinarily well, so well that we did a second one!

Oh, I took the liberty of gathering usage stats for the tournaments if anyone is curious. Because I don't have a fancy usage stat gathering program, look in doc under "ignore yoshi making usage stat notes" which will soon be renamed to "Usage Stats"
Suspect Results:
As I mentioned beforehand, the tournaments served as chance to get a glimpse at what's broken in the metagame and we've got some quickbans for you. One we expected and one tat's a little shocking.
Togedemaru's and the Pichu line's access to Wild Charge: BAN (3-0-1 vote) - This move with the Light Ball on these Pokemon is just way too damage. These bois 2HKO nearly everything in the game that's not a Ground-type (oh btw, the Pichu line has SCRAPPY, so the latter doesn't apply to them). Wild Charge was also the main factor in pushing Togedemaru over the edge to where we nearly quickbanned it days ago. Without Wild Charge, Togedemaru's Zing Zap and Raichu's Volt Tackle should b much more manageable.
Time Warp: NOT BANNED (didn't go to a vote) - As it turns out, Housekeeping, even on just Jirachi, is an extraordinary way to deal with Trick Room and easy to pull off. Against a team without Jirachi, Time Warp is still amazing, but at the current moment of time, it's not bannable. Don't worry though. Time Warp is still on the chopping block, just not getting chopped.
Togedemaru: NOT BANNED (didn't go to a vote) - It's only broken with Wild Charge, so without that, it can stay.
And there's 1 more suspect that popped out of nowhere, but we clearly had to take action on it
Stakataka: BAN (3-0-1 vote) - Under Trick Room, which is extraordinarily easy to get up, Stakataka bodies everything. After it bodies something, it gets stronger, and stronger, and stronger to the point where it doesn't even need Trick Room to sweep as it learns Shadow Sneak to clean up later and the typing is very favorable. Even in just one tourney, we saw that it was pretty unfair, as I was able to win the 2nd tournament with Stakataka nearly sweeping in every game, including beating Jucherz twice in the finals (oh yeah, the 2nd one was double elimination), who was playing extremely well and had Housekeeping ready, solely because of Stakataka, which we felt warranted a quickban. It's highly likely that Stakataka will either be tweaked, suspected, or have its ban tweaked in the future, but for now, Stakataka is taking a one-way trip to Ubers.

Rationale: Early route mons, and their pallete and design also scream Normal.
Competitive Value: Normal-Type mons get a huge movepool most of the time. This carries over to the Simis too, now being much more versatile and less predictable. All of them can run a Z-Happy Hour set, gained Priority, Fake Out and heavy coverage (As well as a way to pivot), with better set-up options (They're mixed mons with Nasty Plot but no SD for some reason).
Simisage: Probably the best of the 3, as it gains Boomburst (Due to "Speak no evil"), coupled with strong Grass hits due to Overgrow, and gains some coverage to go along with it.
Simisear: Resists Stakataka's STABs and hits it back hard with pratically any Fire move it wants (Watch out for Equake / Stone Edge tho). It also has a Soundproof Perish Song gimmick, tho that's a bit less relevant.
Simipour: Has utility in Glare, also resists Stakataka's STABs.
New Type: Ground / Bug
New Moves: Twineedle?*, Sticky Web, Leech Life, Pursuit (Antlions are trappers irrc), Quiver Dance*, Power Gem*
New Abilities: Tinted Lens* (HA)
Rationale: They're based on Antlions. Not sure what the hell that has to do with Dragons, like, at ALL. At best, they look like dragonflies, and the actual Dragonfly is already a dragon now anyways.
Competitive Value: A brand new type combo is always fun (Well, brand new unless you count Nincada, which I don't). Bug / Ground is only resisted by Flying, which Rock coverage also takes down. It also no longer has to dispute with Garchomp for team slots. With Quiver Dance, it can go Special, with either Tinted Lens or Swarm, it is also pretty hard to take on. It still can go Physical, however, due to Dragon Dance and still good coverage on the Physical side. All in all, just an upgrade to them.
*Trapinch does not gain these moves or abiilities

New Abilities: Protean / Regenerator (Mega Launcher)
Rationale: Based on guns. Protean is for the same reason as Kecleon - Octopus is able to camoufage. Regenerator cause they can also regenerate a lost tentacle.
Competitive Value: Protean with a great diverse pool, STAB on Fire Blast for Mega Launcher sets and even LO abuser with Regen. Overall, a solid improvement

Rationale: Counterpart to Gyarados, mirroring the Dark type of the mega into Fairy, and Moxie into Soul Heart.

Rationale: Types now reflect the yin and yang thing they have going on, as well as the truth versus ideals thing that happens in the game's lore. The reason for their additions seemingly swapped in terms of move category (special stuff for Zekrom, physical for Reshiram) is for balancing purposes but also to go along with the idea of moral grey areas that eventually form Kyurem. I also gave the Kyurem fusions new types to reflect the changes to Zekrom and Reshiram as well as to further differentiate them.
Competitive Value: You may be wondering why I'm nerfing these two instead of buffing them. The reason is simple- my mission was to put a cover legend in OU. How do I do this? By giving new typings and removing coverage options from them. They were already bad in Ubers anyway, so it's not like Ubers will miss the vanilla versions. In OU, they function as Pokemon that are encouraged to be used as mixed attackers. They both have setup on the stat they would rather not use and not the one they would. They however still have their stat spreads which are still great. What grounds them in OU is a similar situation to Kyurem-B, but here they have low powered STABs on the side they want as opposed to none at all. As for the Kyurem fusions, Black is as good as it used to be, as it now is quad weak to Fairy but is given access to Bite. Kyurem-White was always pretty decent in Ubers so its fine.

Rationale: Dewgong’s design doesn’t scream Ice-type. Plus, it’s adorable. It also needs to seperate itself from Walrein. It still has a lot of dex ties to Ice though, so I decided to give Refrigerate. Fluffy is due to how the dex goes on about Dewgong’s fur. Calm Mind and Moonlight are due to how Dewgong seems to enjoy night so much, thanks to the dex. Rinse Off is simply about it being a Water-type seal Pokémon basically. Moonblast is obviously needed. Boomburst is due to seal cries, as well as giving Refrigerate fodder. Boomburst instead of Hyper Voice to make up for the base 70 SpA. Hydro Pump it should have had to start.
Competitive Value: With these changes, Dewgong becomes an extremely interesting Pokémon to use. It can become a complete tank with Fluffy, albeit to sacrifice a resist. Alternatively, it can be a Calm Mind Bulky Attacker with the first nonSTAB -ate set. It sounds dumb to not give STAB on an -ate user, until you realize that Water/Ice is a bad defensive type and that Refrigerate Boomburst as a coverage move is pretty damn powerful. Of course, if you can manage, it could be an interesting Bulky Swift Swim user I guess. Overall, these changes make Dewgong an interesting Pokémon for stall or bulky offense, while leaving a door open for rain.

Boomburst is due to seal cries, as well as giving Refrigerate fodder. Boomburst instead of Hyper Voice to make up for the base 70 SpA. Hydro Pump it should have had to start.
Competitive Value: With these changes, Dewgong becomes an extremely interesting Pokémon to use. It can become a complete tank with Fluffy, albeit to sacrifice a resist. Alternatively, it can be a Calm Mind Bulky Attacker with the first nonSTAB -ate set. It sounds dumb to not give STAB on an -ate user, until you realize that Water/Ice is a bad defensive type and that Refrigerate Boomburst as a coverage move is pretty damn powerful. Of course, if you can manage, it could be an interesting Bulky Swift Swim user I guess. Overall, these changes make Dewgong an interesting Pokémon for stall or bulky offense, while leaving a door open for rain.

1. Swap Rotom-Fan and Celebi. Celebi isn’t bad but it just isn’t A-. Rotom-Fan is very bulky with Levitate and is overall a good defensive Pokémon here.
2. Rank base Aerodactyl at C+ or B-. With Pluck, the base has become a very reliable rocker that also can serve as an anti-lead lead (as in a lead that beats other leads) with Unnerve, preventing Mulp Berry shenanigans.
