For when you get back on: I was wondering how savestates work in relation to the current game file. If I go back to a savestate before the file was even saved (during the Birch introductory scenes or something) or, in a better example, back to a savestate during the game's intro before the game's main menu (at the very beginning, when no ingame save was made at all), what will happen? If it comes up to the main menu with nothing but "New Game," has the file I had with, say, 1 badge and so-and-so many hours been lost? Or do I just need to turn the game off and back on, so that the save state (the one I loaded that was made before any file was made) was really just a fleeting screen, and didn't really mean anything? It seems obvious that if I loaded from that early savestate and started a new game and saved, it would save over any existing ingame file, but in this scenario I'm not certain (and a little worried).
