yeah, i ran into that problem too, then i increased the size of my word doc, made my work bigger, and it solved the problem.
re ms word / ppt art, are you already using the rightclick -> format shape -> size / position and tweaking the values there? and try making your canvas as big as you possibly can - not sure how you can do that on ppt, but on word you can change it under page setup or something.
