In that context it means soft reset. One of the ways to get good legendaries before RNG came out was to save before fighting the legendary, and reset your game if you didn't get one with good ivs.
Start + Select is the most common combination for AR clone codes, but it depends on the code.
SR can mean a couple of things, it can mean soft reset, as in pressing L+R+Start+Select, or it could refer to the Simple Requests part of the Simple Questions, Simple Requests thread in wifi.

Bad luck again man. If my timestamps are right (which I am still unsure of) you got me at around 11:50pm my time. On weekdays, I can't do anything past 11:30pm (exactly) as that is when I have to get ready for work. On the weekends, the time you keep trying to get a hold of me will work great. Also, I was able to clone for your partner, so if you want to send him some things for me to clone, maybe that can work better. Either way, I am GMT-7 and available around 7pm-11pm that time, more open on weekends. If my work's internet didn't block Nintendo Wifi I'd have more availability. =(
