Make an arena where all damaging moves are recoil inducing for 33% damage. Moves that already cause recoil are unaffected. At the end of the round, HP lost via recoil is reduced by 50%.

I think that it'll be ok as long as you give a short explaination as to what you saw.
Who said action? You can just have them searching, failing to find you, you escaping, they pursuing, and you getting away while they are confused.
You are going to have to learn how to do battle scenes or else your character is not going to see much action..
