I do like Ra, they're my second favorite band ever! I'm so glad other people have heard of them too (Shiv likes them), they're extremely underrated.
As for Submersed, I've never heard of them before. Judging by the link you posted, I'd say they sound more like Breaking Benjamin or Five Finger Death Punch or Adelita's Way than Ra, vocally at least. They fit into a similar musical style but Ra is a bit darker and more minor-harmonic. They're good though, I'll have to check them out more!
