  • that works just fine :) choose two parents, noting their IVs. Let's search for a target spread first, then you can get the egg with the right nature/etc.

open up RNGreporter and click on "time finder". It should be directly below the seed finder button. A window will pop up, with three tabs in it. we're only worried about the first tab for now. fill out the information for a date you want (if you don't care about the date you receive the egg on, set month to 12; that produces the most options for a given year), and the information you gathered from the calibration. generally I've found a good delay range is +/- 2 from your normal delay (for you that would be min 602/ max 606) to be good for starting off. We're gonna have to do another calibration step (if you want to), but I want to get you using the time finder asap.
sure. what do you want to start with? btw, you need to know the IVs of the parents for the RNG to be truly effective; otherwise you're really only shooting in the dark.
well then, we need to get one in there. do the rng method I showed you yesterday, though remember to take out the parents from the daycare; if an egg is generated it advances the RNG, and we don't want that.
ok, let's begin the RNG. first off, the egg. Is there an egg in the daycare already that's jolly with adaptability as the ability?
can you wait just a min? I have something I need to take care of real fast, then I can switch comps and we can begin RNGing!
nope. all that matters in the time taken BEFORE you enter the actual game. looks like 604 is your delay, and it's your call for time, but I'd go with 15 seconds. write those two down.

Now it's time to start the RNG!
What this is doing is providing information useful for further rnging, because often rng reporter will ask for a range of delays and times. that is what the numbers you right down represent; what things you'll normally be able to hit in rng. you really only have to do this like 4-5 times, maybe less if you get the same number twice, etc. it's your call, but the more information you have, the easier it is to find the stuff you want.
okay, now's where you need both DSs. turn on both DSs and go under the user settings (at the bottom of the select-what to do menu screen) go under set time (the one that looks like a clock) on both DSs, taking note of the date and time on the one with the cart on which you want to RNG. Press A simultaneously on both DSs, so they are synchronized to the minute (the exact times don't have to match, just to the minute), then turn off the RNGing one, then on again, this time going into the game you want to RNG in. What you're gonna do now is SR (by holding L, start, and select, while keeping a finger on R, just so you only press 1 button at the SR) when the DS you're not RNGing on reaches the next minute. Press A repeatedly at a tempo/rate at which you think you can duplicate. Go into the game, then catch a high lv mon. when you've done that, put it through RNG reporter just like egg nature/etc generation. DON'T PRESS OK, instead write down your delay and seconds. rinse and repeat.
sweet. Ok we're gonna start by calibrating. that means we're gonna be catching high level wild mons (just like for finding the initial seed for egg PID!). fly to a route with lv 47+ mons, then save next to or in the grass where they appear. then turn your DS off. we're going to check the delay and seconds you can hit while resetting. If you want, you can write down the date / year / month on a piece of scratch paper, so you have it easy and at hand.
The DS. You don't have to wait until the next minute, since with a press of a button you can set the time to 0 seconds of the current minute.
    yep. ok first thing: requirements.

    What you need:

    your DS, game (duh)
a clock with a seconds hand (it MUST have a seconds hand or a seconds reading of some sort)
(if you have a 2nd DS I find that to be the best solution for a RNGing clock)
    a comp with RNGreporter open
-optional- a piece of paper and a writing instrument

if you can get those, it will make everything easier :)
yep i'll be around then. I might be afk for a bit(doing 2 pokewalkers in yellow forest >_>) but I'll check back every once in a while. see you then :)
you ready to learn to rng? i have the time now ( i have to get up to 10000 steps for fly chu, 9500 for surf >.>) VM me back if you wanna get started :)
nah :P I'll just take toto as a HM slave surf / waterfall / rocksmash / strength
probably. btw I had a crazy idea: I haven't started up my HG yet, and the yellow forest event is still going on, so ima get a good surf pika and solo run with it on HG :D
yep. I'm gonna have to do this by memory of rng reporter, because the other comp is by my dad, has a clicky keyboard, and he's doing taxes :/
No far to busy moving but later I'll sweep you and your eith A.stall team or b.weather team
