  • I want him because I can buy him cheap, and he's a good enough player that he'll probably eventually turn around and I could either sell high or start him in place of Sproles.

I realized after the fact that starting Bennett was a bad idea because he would be called in to block more. I'm not too worried about his performance last week.

Hartline is good, but of course the last game was a fluke. He's not gonna be posting 200+ yard games regularly! Arizona left him uncovered on that 80 yard touchdown, which inflated his numbers quite a bit. Still, he's Tannehill's favorite target, and has had a lot of balls thrown his way. I wouldn't trust many receivers to be consistent with rookie quarterbacks, but he's definitely worth a waiver wire acquisition if you can get him.
someone on my short list of players I want is D Murray, his o-line sucks but his owner isn't even starting him

I'd need to ship someone out for another receiver though, not sure if I want to do that :x
People tend to forget that Peyton went like 0-4 or something in his first playoff starts, I don't think he got his first win until his 6th or 7th year or so.

Eli had over 300 passing yards, not bad for not having a passing game! He'll be fine with Nicks back, but he'd be better if he got a little more out of the run game.

You gotta take Peyton though. Fitz threw for 4 TDs last week, Flacco threw for 3 and 382 yards the week before. Steelers-Eggs should be a low scoring defensive minded matchup, but Peyton might be headed to a shootout.

I've decided to put Bowe and Sproles on the trading block to field offers, but I doubt I'll trade either. Bowe is something like the #10-12 scorer at WR based on our scoring system, but I don't think he'll maintain that level. If someone's desperate enough to trade me a great RB for him I might pull the trigger!

I've also got a bit of a bye week problem, as of my 5 receivers 3 have bye week 7. I'm looking at starting Harvin/Bennett/someone from waivers at this rate.
once we went 3 and out with 3 minutes left I assumed we had no shot, so I guess I was pretty scared!

I'd say they have a 90% chance of scoring 10 points or less next week. gg Jets
Without Payton, their play calling has become completely predictable, and their offensive line has suffered without Nicks so they can't run the ball effectively at all. Brees is great, but without a run game and without a defense it's tough to win games.

Jets are a joke, I've been saying they were terribad for over a year now. Your holy Tebus will be the starter in a month or less.
I think the only team I'm 0-fer now is the sinners

I just keep picking them to win and they keep making me look dumb
plot twist: I switched to the eagles

shit just got m-night up in this bitch
I left Bowe's 19 points on the bench, but it looks like I won't need him! Roddy/Charles for the win.

My non-quarterback starters combined for 3 touchdowns the first 3 weeks, and I was 3-0 and 2nd or 3rd in the league in scoring. This week, Sproles/Charles/White/Harvin have already combined for 6 touchdowns. I should end up with the highest scoring week of the year so far in this league!

Falcons, man... don't ever doubt the magic of Matty Ice, especially at home. Can't wait until we get our revenge at home week 15! >:)
both, Charles ran fast and he ran tough. touching the ball 40 times showed that he can take the abuse as well. he's probably not 100%, but he's close enough. the biggest worry would be for him to get hurt again. the sinners' d is awful, just awful, though.

there's something wrong with rivers, I can't really put my finger on it. if he keeps being mediocre, they will be one of the worst offensive teams in the nfl, but surely he'll bounce back sometime?

rodgers will be fine if they can protect him. he played fairly well in the 2nd half when they were using more I-formation and multiple tight end sets to keep him off his ass. they'll have to replicate that strategy against any team with a sizeable pass rush, like the texans/bears/gents.

and I can never, ever, root for the sinners. I'd rather them go 0-16 and get the first overall pick than anything else. likely they'll finish 8-8 or 7-9, but I can still see them getting up to 10 wins if they can turn around on defense.
bowe must have hurt himself during the game or practice or something, he's listed as questionable even though he'll probably play. I have charles too and I hate starting two chefs so I'm gonna try and trade bowe this week or next. they're playing the chargers this week by the way, who have defended receivers pretty well this season (did very well against white/julio, though tony g broke out for a big one)

I can't honestly pick the sinners with that defense. they have a good shot at going 0-5 before their bye week.

if matty keeps playing the way he has and the falcons finish 13-3 or 14-2 or something then I'd say he's pretty much a lock for the MVP. if eli plays the way he's played the last two weeks and the gents finish with a similar record eli's probably a lock. realistically, neither will, and general favorites brady/rodgers/brees will start playing better. eli/ryan have their chance, though.

only welker/brady probably are close to ryan/white over the past few seasons, but brady was hurt during ryan's rookie year so ryan/white are indeed probably first. all the other top receivers have had multiple quarterbacks, and all the other top quarterbacks have had a revolving door at receiver.
roddy had only one season where he had a problem with drops, which was last season. he had a couple of really bad ones, but the biggest part of it is that he was just targeted so many damned times.

bowe is hurt for me, so I'm picking up marty as we speak. hopefully this will make me look as smart as picking up gronk off waivers after week 1 last season! moves cost money so I'll have to dump someone in a week or two though :x
I couldn't say which duo is better because I don't like judging players after one season. I think White is better than Nicks, but I definitely can't claim Julio's better than Cruz right now without being a hypocrite. I see Nicks as right up there as a borderline top-10 guy.

They're pretty close, I could see arguments for either side. For what it counts, for fantasy purposes I had Julio > Cruz > White > Nicks (ended up with Roddy in my money league, Cruz went 1 pick before me and Julio went in the early 2nd round)

Marty B's still a free agent in my league, but since we have such tiny benches I basically can't pick him up until week 7 or else I'll have to drop him again. I'm secretly hoping he has a couple bad games so no one steals him from me :(
dez only has one 100 yard game in his career. found that one kinda scary...

cruz's season last year was one of the best seasons by any player not named jerry rice ever. 1500+ yards over 14 games projected over 16 would have put him at #3 all time. he's easily the best slot receiver in the game, as at the moment there aren't many starters that move into the slot like he does (only one I can think of is that Welker guy, I heard he was pretty good).

I hate hate hate judging players after one season. lots of people were sucking Scam's dick after last season, but through three games so far this season the whispers of "sophomore slump" have already begun. cruz will have to prove that he can be productive more consistently this year for me to rate him in the top 5 or above the borderline top 10 range. in three games he's had one excellent game sandwiched between two subpar games, which is kind of what I'd expect from him.
also it seems most of those commenters agree that roddy just meant cruz was a better receiver in the slot then on the outside, and that the phrase was apparently taken out of context or whatever

someone said roddy laughed when the announcer compared him/julio to miles austin/dez bryant x)
and do you want me to change my pick to the eggs ??? i will if you think it'll help
it was some question about whether he and julio thought they were the best tandem WRs in football (naturally nicks/cruz were brought into the conversation so)

lots of receivers have pretty big egos, roddy's not terrible with his but he does spout some shit sometimes.

you're selling roddy short though. 5 consecutive 1000 yard seasons (4 with 1200+, 2 of those were at almost 1400), 80+ receptions each year, and he's never missed a game. marshall and fitz are the only receivers in the league that have come even close to that consistency. cruz has had one season so far, and tends to disappear at times while relying on the big plays to pile up his stats. roddy doesn't make flashy catches like megatron, he doesn't go for 80 yard touchdowns like cruz or wallace, but he is one of the best in the game at finding a way to get open.
I agree, but I'm like super biased against Vick so I don't exactly have a fair opinion!
might have been against a rookie corner but he was beating press coverage all night long

which you rather me pick the gents or the vicks next week ? I'm already 0-3 picking Giants games and I don't want to ruin this good thing I have going
already regretting not picking up Andre from the waiver wire...

what happened to Randle? do they not trust him yet as the 2nd WR? or is Barden just better than him?
I want you to know that I am 0-2 in picking Giants games this season, and I have picked the Panthers to win tomorrow.
