In Issue #19 we asked what could possibly stand up to Kyogre’s torrential onslaught; come Black and White 2, enter Soul Dew Latias. In the transition from DPPt to Black and White 1 many Uberers found a hole in their hearts over the loss of their favourite Kyogre check and all around amazing Pokemon. While Latias flourished in OU, even without her Soul Dew, she would shed a tear every time she was KOed by a special attack, knowing that, deep down, she could have taken it. Having returned to grace the presence with her tier, Latias resumes her role as the premier Kyogre check, braving Water Spouts and even super-effective Ice Beams from the monolithic whale.
