I'll start off with a controversial misconception of Christianity. The Bible does clearly state that man and woman is the "right sexuality" and it does say it's a sin because it goes against the Bible. However, Christians are responsible for practicing kindness and acceptance to all, even LGBTQ, because ,despite the fact that it's technically a sin, we are no better than them. Everyone sins. Christians that don't accept LGBTQ people are fake Christians tbh. So the few who don't should not stereotype the entire religion. Just throwing that out there.
As for religion and science, I believe they can coexist. In fact, science can help prove Christian stories like the flood and Jesus existing. The reason that people nowadays believe that they are polar opposites is because scientists have rejected God and instead decided to find their own answers. They don't objectively look at new discoveries with that in mind. They just disregard Christianity without thinking how it could actually prove Christianity.

Think about evolution. Lots of scientists argue about their own ideas of it and every time they've "discovered a missing link" it ends up being disproven. And the Big Bang theory doesn't make any sense. If the universe accidentally created itself by being struck by a meteor or comet then who created the meteor?
Also, there is evidence supporting that a God exists because this world is far too complex and complicated to be developed by evolving. That's part of the reasons why I still believe God exists. But I was also taught about it as a kid and it's just always made sense to me. That's just my opinion tho

I mean according to my friend, modern Christianiy is to bend and warp it to what they want it to be. This is coming from a guy who wants to be a Catholic priest so yeah. Also, if you say microbiological evolution doesn't lead to macroevolution, then I'd say you're crazy. I can say that we truly don't know what made the universe but there is some evidence for the big bang theory too. The universe is exponentially expanding farther and farther from itself, so that's one major plus to it. I'd say that letting kids think for themselves is the best way to have a better future. I mean my parents are Christian and they never shoved it down our throats. I just find it too sketchy to put a leap of faith in something. I don't deny that a god could have created the universe, I just don't see enough proof for it

Also, as for lgbtq treatment, I can say that I've seen first hand many Christians speak down to them so I mean can you really blame me for thinking that behavior is associated with Chriatianity?

I consider Catholicism a distorted branch of Christianity tbh. Back during the Middle Ages, the only people that knew how to read the Bible were the priests so people can't see how different it is from the Bible. For centuries, people worshipped this way(and some still do) blindly. It wasn't until Martin Luther with the protestant reformation that true Christianity saw light again. But anyway, yes it is starting to become like that ,unfortunately, but it shouldn't. Real Christians still have God at the center of our lives and the Bible in mind. However, society is evolving so we need to evolve our way of speaking to get to people.

Saying that you need to get to people just makes me rather uncomfortable.

Well isn't the goal of any religion to convert? .-.
But yeah your experience of Christian treatment towards LGBTQ is sad. However, no Christian that follows the Bible should discriminate LGBTQ people in any way whatsoever. It's just a sin. But everyone is sinful so can we just discriminate someone for being a drug addict or for being a former criminal? No.

Again, this goes back to modern Christians just saying they're Christian but not acting it.

I will just say that agnostics do not try to convert others to their views on life. Our fellow extremists, atheists, do that though. And I just don't see how one can be shunned for their opinions on things and be called fake Christians. Isn't it supposed to encompass anyone who deems themself a Christian and does some of the requirements to be one. And trust me, you don't know how bad lgbtq discrimination is at least in my area of ohio >.>

Agnosticism isn't a religion. It's a belief

Isn't Christianity just a belief? It's basically the same thing but we aren't bound to the worshipping of a god. Plus not all religions even constitute that much to them anyway.

Then who "created" God? :P Just food for thought. Also religion is a belief too. XD Also discrimination in general is just bad. Racism, sexism, etc.

Religions are a belief in a Divine Power(Christianity,Buddhism,Islam,Judaism etc)
A belief is something you believe. So atheism and agnosticism aren't technically religions.
Also, no one created God. He's always existed. I know it doesn't sound logical but he's a God that's not bound by human logic or understanding. I'm sure that no one will ever make sense of it until they get to heaven.
Also, once again, I think discrimination in Christianity is just within the corruption of modern Christians. The majority of religious people in the country are people who say that they're religious but they don't show or act it. Real Christians are strong and determined to show their religion by doing what all should be doing, actually following what God tells us to do

But it's weird though, if God "just existed," he would have creators if that makes sense ;-;
and I think according to the bible, God has no gender but is still referred to "he." there should be a Goddess or something too D:<< or that's what I think.

God is a he. The reason there's no Goddess is because originally women didn't exist. He created Eve because Adam was lonely. This also is the case because it states that God created man in his image(to resemble Him) so I think this is proof that women aren't represented by a God. This might seem like a sexist statement but it's true. This might come off as "Women exist just to accompany men and to reproduce" but that's not true. They are equally treated(or should be) because they're people like men. At least sexism has gone down in the past 100 years

I mean tbh you can't deny that men are and always have been portrayed as above women in anything in the past and Christians aren't exempt from that. While it's getting better in first world countries, it's still terrible I'm third world countries. I know that in some countries that gang rape isn't even a serious offense against men in countries. Sometimes they won't even convict them of rape

You're right. But any good Christian will treat women with the same respect as men. But ,unfortunately, the idiots and jerks speak louder than the common. Christians get stereotyped because of the idiots/bad apples. A good example is that people think Christians hate LGBTQ people and won't be nice to them. There's actually a lot of Christians that do but again, the bad apples speak louder.

It's always gonna be that way tbh
