I think people who learn English, or any other language shouldn't get insulted for having an accent. I mean at least they're learning a new language.

I've heard French people are especially bad about mocking people who have an accent and don't enunciate things correctly. Ik that I want to study abroad and I want to go to Germany or France so I will be that person with a terrible accent

If I tried to learn a new language(especially Asian ones with weird characters) I would get insulted for having a very American accent.

and when they try and speak English then you can make fun of them :3

Meh. I just don't like people being so condescending towards foreigners. You'd think they'd help them with their language affairs not insult them

I do know that when I study abroad, I'm gonna definitely try to learn the language to the best of my ability.

Yeah I'm not gonna try. xD I'm perfectly fine with English since I have no desire to move anywhere that doesn't speak English. Unless I become a missionary or something but I don't feel like that's my role in Christianity. So yeah I'm staying here with my Midwest American accent

I've actually considered leaving the US tbh. I find European and Japanese culture better than ours

Then move to Canada or England. There you moved without having to take years of foreign language classes

See I actually want to be bi or trilingual. Just something I've fancied the idea of for quite a while. I mean you do realize that many people in Europe and Japan take English as a second language right?

Yes I know but it's such a hassle to learn a new language

Im considering moving to Japan one day so im learning Japanese when I have time. Though Im scared of earthquakes XD
