it makes sense to me to have "Standard" defined the same way all across the site, to avoid confusion. the kid wondering about "Hax Item" clause said he was going to bring 6 Feraligtr's next match since Speciaes Clause wasn't standard. xP

hey, i was wondering if the "Standard Clauses" could be better defined in the Battle Me thread. i recently fought someone who didn't like me using Bright Powder Cacturne, because it's a "Hax Item", but i see that nowhere in standard. in addition to that, Species clause isn't mentioned anywhere either.

in the "Introduction to Competitive Battling" thread, there's a list of "Standard clauses".

would it be possible to get this list in the first post of Battle Me?

Hello EE. I have posted this question in the Simple Questions thread, and received mixes/inconclusive answers to a question I asked regarding pokéballs and wifi trading. My question never got fully answered, so I decided before making up my own mind, I should ask a mod's opinion. I'm sorry if this still belongs in simple requests:

I do not have access to save states or rebattle codes on my Soul Silver cartridge, and therefore have no way of catching the same legendary in different balls. Would it be considered illegitimate to clone the poké, then use pokésav to change the ball that the clone was caught in, so long as it were still within the realm of possibility (no Cherish Ball, Pal Park Ball, etc, etc.)? I would not be changing any of its hex values or anything, just the ball it was caught in. This way people can have their choice of what they want the pokémon to be in.
