I found Riski's guide the most useful. She has all of her guides in her trade thread.
I'll give you some tips that helped me: you don't need to calibrate like most guides say you need to; just use Pikatimer. Don't get frustrated, if you do, then take a break for a while.
If you get stuck or anything, just VM me and I'll see if I can help.
I've never tried it on DPPt, but I find it really easy in HGSS. I think people find it harder because they're used to DPPt and they can't transition well or something. Both Riolus I did a couple hours ago took about 15-20 minutes each, and I'll probably try to do Jolteon and Vaporeon as well, since I seem to be on a roll.
Welll, my pokemon are normally non-redistributable, but I'll let you have semi rights on Staryu. People tend to like Starmie a lot so hopefully it will bring you some trades. If you have HG or SS then RNG really is pretty easy. I learned last weekend, and I've done everything in my thread since then.
Do you know how to RNG your own stuff yet?
