  • Yeah its really disappointing. Especially cause they waited for the Kovalchuk deal to get done, then traded him, then Kovalchuk was rejected. I have high hopes for Zherdev and Giroux though. :)
Sorry, another internet outage. You won't be saving after catching. Rember how you caught Latios to check your delay? That's the same basic idea as you are doing here. The only differences are:
-You will need to walk from the cave entrance to Groudon.
-Once you find the seed you hit, you need to find out what frame it is.

IF THERE WAS EXTRA FRAME ADVANCEMENT: Soft reset, walk about 30 steps, then save at the entrance again.
The game carries over the number from a save. If it does advance the frame (above 2 since starting frame is 1, plus entering is 1), then you'll need to do a re-save after taking about 30 steps and saving again infront of the cave entrance.
Everytime a total of 128 steps are taken, the RNG normally advances by a number equal to the number of pokemon in your party (in DPPt). In HGSS, it's pretty much the same thing but it's not always the number in your party. But if you test it real quick, we'll be able to see what frame is the actual starting frame (once the walking is included in).
Sorry for the long delay, my internet went out for over 2 hours and just came back on (after giving me a massive headache).

Yeah, you can use your AR to find the start frame for this one. You'll have do something a little different when trying to hit your delay, but it won't be a problem.

Yeah, I know entering advances by 1. But walking in HGSS on it's own is inconsistent, but if you calibrate the frame real quick right now, we will be able to determine everything you'll need to do later.

You can't use Red Gyarados, because the way it's generated gives multiple possible SIDs. You'd need to catch it multiple times and use all the sets of IVs to determine your SID.
You might as well use the first, as you'll need to know the exact IVs so that you can figure out what frame it's on.
No, save at the entrance to the cave (not in the cave, but just before entering it). Calls don't work there, so you have to be outside the cave.

You'll need to do a quick calibration to see what is starting frame is (normally, its 1 but since you have to do some walking it can change). To do this, synchronize the DS with your second hand watch/clock/whatever. Enter the game, and go straight in and catch Groudon. In seed finder, put in the needed info (remeber, the minute is when you entered the game, not started the battle). You'll need to get the exact IVs for it. Once you've found the spread, press okay. Then find out what frame the one you caught was on by searching through the list on the main page (shouldn't be past frame 15).
Yeah, that's easily do able. I've done frame 750~ on HG just last week, so it is do able. Okay, go ahead and get to the entrance of Groudon's cave (make sure you have the item so it will appear). Just go in and up to it, then exit back out incase there is some little video that activates before hand (can't remeber for sure).
I unfortunatly don't. Run the search again without a synchronizer and see what frames it comes on. With so many appearing with, there may be a chance you won't even need one.
Yeah, Adamant has one: (31/31/31/17/31/31). Seed: c20b0af4. It's method 1 frame is 44, so it should have a method K one (make sure you set a synchronizer in there).
Hey, do you care about Sp. Attack? Because the lowest speed with a 30+ Sp. Attack is 2. If I left anything for Sp. Attack I'm sure I can find a 0 speed one. If not, the best spread I found was: (31/31/30/31/31/1). You'll need to check and see if it appears in Method K, since my RNG Reporter is still acting up. The seed is: 450709bf
No, you only need your SID for shinies. If you don't want shiny, just don't tell the program to search for shinies. I'll search for the best brave spread I can find and let you know when I find it.

And most people on here are cool with rebattle codes, so long as you list that used it there won't be a problem with it.
I just searched for it online. I don't have SS, so I couldn't test it myself. You can do a non shiny now, and use the rebattle for a shiny later.
You can use the same way you've been doing. The only thing is that phone calls don't work in the cave, so you'll need to do the frame advancements right infront of the door leading in (not a problem). I'll look for a seed now.
Okay. I should be on for at least another half hour, maybe more. Do you have a spread you want to do for it? If not, what nature (most of them run Adamant/Jolly).
You mean for Groudon? If so, it's the exact same thing that you've been doing, except take away the NPCs to mess you up at the last second.
IV abusing in DPPt is a huge pain, as there are roughly 6 or 7 NPCs in Solaceon (compared to the 4/5 in Pewter). If you want to try in HGSS with breeding, there's only 1 NPC, and he rarely ever moves.
Don't even try it. I've only done 1, and I don't think I could do another.
