I suspect you'll get there soon. I learned all this in May, lol. It's all repetitive actions, really.
Definitely do you SID/OT one day. It seems hard but it's actually easier than it looks. The first time is the hardest, but well, you get used to doing enough RNG and it all starts making sense eventually. :-)
Aw, I feel for you. That's hard decision.
I didn't know water spout did more damage, but then again, Hidden Power can only be max 70 and it won't be a STAB move for Kyogre.
If you can find a decent seed for it, with a good IV spread for Kyogre, I suppose it could work. What would you want Kyogre to use HP Fight on?
I don't know, really. I'm a noob when it comes to battling with pokes, so I use Smogon's Dex for most of my IV choices. :-( I bet you know more about what to do about HP choices than I do.
Thanks for sticking up for me. I'm not going to post further on the thread concerning that problem, so it should all cool off and disappear after a bit. :-)
I have no doubt you will be able to get your latios on HG, but give yourself a bit more experience with other RNG catches first and then you'll find the extra NPCs won't be so bad. :-)

I already have three different Kyogres of different nature from Embedded Tower, and Rayquaza itself.
I think you should make a Modest w/ HP Flying, or Timid flawless. They're the most CMT'd for.
