I know! It's so terrible...so many species are endangered...there's a lynx that lives in Spain called the Iberian Lynx which is the most threatened cat in the world, and could be the first cat to become extinct since the sabre-toothed tiger...apparently 25% of all species could be extinct within the next 50 (?) years...and so many people just don't care, or would rather preserve their comfortable way of life than do anything to help the future of our planet! People think it doesn't really matter when ecosystems change and animal food chains collapse...but for instance did you know that algae blooms in the ocean create 3/4 of the world's oxygen? And I mean...who cares about money if we won't have a planet to live on, or one almost devoid of life??

I know :'( it makes me really super sad. I think a lot of the people who poach them and/or destroy their habitat by starting fires (to stimulate the growth of ferns, v popular in Chinese medicine) may not actually know...but others, yeah, are just plain horrible >: (
