i actually dont know if P.O will update with B/W from japanese release, no one knows for sure but i will say [my opinion] that we will have a simulator with gen 5 updated on it so we get a feel for it and make strategies before the actual america release. and hopefully its the new doubles supported shoddy or P.O, cause i dont want to have 3 sims downloaded :(

o falco you funny guy, and to answer your questions no P.O [pokemon online] starts you off fresh, like no stats or anything and gives you complete freedom to do anything [legal] like maxing stats and stuff. also yes people still practice even though we dont know the new rules :(, just battling in itself is super fun, but not alot of people are on like when vgc season was still up

hey sorry it took so long but basically Irc is like a chatroom, actually lol it is a chatroom, you will find most of us there just chilling and talking to each other, here is a giude on how to intall it and the two channels you will find most of us on.

and Pokemon Online is a battle simulater like shoddy but it supports doubles and vgc style play, that is where we battle because you can make a team on the spot and take it out for a ride, but nothing beats good old Wi-Fi battling lol. anyways below is the link for the download

Haha I saw you posted on somebody else's profile and I figured from the name. I wasn't too familiar with the "friend" function either but it appears when you click the person's username under where it shows their friends there is an option to "befriend" the person.

also for doubles most people get on a pokemon simulator called "pokemon online", weekly tournaments are also held saturdays on #smogonwifi [IRC channel],
