You don't have to restart your game: what version is this on?
I'm not allowed to say this on the SQSR thread because it promotes hacking, but the same deal happened to a friend of mine. This is what you do: go find a code online that fills your party with arceus's, darkrais, etc, I'm sure you've seen them around. This will remove that space. Hope I helped =)
