I'm not sure why everyone has, but pretty much every NPC in my game is messed up in one way or another, and Oak is no exception. My guess is because the professors in every game are the ones to ask you the really weird questions (Are you a BOY, or are you a GIRL?) at the beginning of the game, so it's not too far a mental leap to conclude that they're all really imbalanced.

I guess I'm lucky that I don't mind grinding much - it's kind of why I'm addicted to RPG's in general. Then again I'm also the guy who spent hours drawing and refining 100 Blizzara spells before I even went into the fire cave to fight Ifrit in Final Fantasy 8 XD. I don't do needlessly-grindy stuff like that anymore but I don't mind buckling down and grinding everyone up to an appropriate level.

Eeeesh yeah, crits while grinding are the worst. I was lucky enough to have my first death occur during a rival battle, which is actually good for the story because it makes it more interesting than "Then some random wild Diglett hit my Nidorina with a crit Magnitude 8."

Crits are the reason I'm really hoping my Kabuto has Battle Armor when I reanimate it.

I wish I had that kind of drive >_< I never write when I'm at home, but I usually crank out a few chapters when I'm at work (I do security monitoring so when alarms aren't going off I have a lot of downtime). It helps the shift go by faster.

I like the fact that you added a completely different story to the plot. My story's more about a normal guy who's thrown into this generally nonsensical video game world (which is why most of the NPC's are pretty much insane), but it follows the plot of the game pretty much exactly. I like the fact that you brought your own flavor of story to the already-set world.

Yeah I mentioned the Red thing in my original post which ended up being too long. Anyway, whichever storyline you choose sounds good, can`t wait. As for the league, it sholdn`t be that difficult. Eggy is 2HKOed by Vappy`s Ice Beam while it sets up Sum and Zam no longer has Calm Mind so it`s max 3HKOed by Vasppy`s Bite. Gyardos is a joke. A worst you can stall it with Ivy.
For Emerald and Platinum I imagine then that you would be following the basic storyline more or less?

Fortunately the league will be easy since you hav Vap, bulky waters destroy the league. Your team is bulky in general so you probably only have to get to 55 to take them since Aero kills Lorelei, Ivy Bruno, Vap Agatha and Lance and lol @ your Rival. I once had a Slowbro with Calm Mind Psychic Blizzard and Surf that took 2/3 of the league on its own.
For your challenge I suggest you do Johto last so that you can trade/migrate your strongest combined team to take on the last remaining symbol of the empire, Red.
You should have Bill say that the empire bans Pokemonimports which is why you must use a new team for each region.
You will have to find a way to work around Steven and Wallace`s assistance in Emerald and Cynthia`s in Platinum since they are empire agents.

I don't think it's just you. I imagine everyone's just getting excited for B/W and getting to play a new adventure. Nuzlocke is about the single player, and it's something to do while we wait for B/W.

I did get rid of it. Something signature-worthy happened to me.

I got subbed in as your opponent for the level balance tourney. I still have to build a team for it, so idk when I'll be ready. I have stuff to do on tuesday and wednesday, so idk... when are you avaliable. I'll try to make it work I guess.

sounds good. If you want you could always post it on fanfiction.com if it was an actual story with a plot and everything. I wrote ine in a dark theme because my other nuzlocke stories were all growing through hardship and shit
