Hi matt. I have some simple questions about BW RNG.
1. Is the seconds decided once you hit the continue button?
2. Does NPC movements affect the egg IVs? Or they just affect PIDs?

GMT time zone, it's pretty much just am I sleeping or not and I'm typically up 'till 2am, though I vaguely remember that you're west coast and we had to do trading when it was around 3 or 4am my time. I'm on now though and will be for a bit yet.

Thanks for your help with pikatimer.... i saw my antivirus program end, pikatimer went normal speed, and i hit my delay on the first time which is unheard of for me as this is only my 3rd RNG project.

Hi. I noticed your post about the Kojofu on the discuss my pokemon thread. I'm not following what you mean by advancing the PID. I have never RNGed on Emerald or any gen 3 games. So I only know about advancing frames and resetting to land on delays. If you have time, or if you have a post somewhere that explains it already, could you tell me what you mean by advancing the PID?

I just finished the rest of my experiment, and I'm afraid it is out of my hands or that I was extremely unlucky, XD. I ended up with the same Volbeat each time I hit the same seed. So there definitely is something in the PID to determine their gender, but some funky formula/equation is in it somewhere that determines this. I hope someone can get to it, XD.

Haha, I can only do so much myself, XD. So I'm going to grind through a few shiny RNG eggs and see if my prediction is correct. If I do manage to get both genders with the same seed, then the PID has nothing to do with determining gender for Nidos Volbeat/Illumise and its all based upon randomness. However, if I get nothing but the same Volbeat/Illumisse with my same shiny spread, then I would have to pass my experiment onto someone else who knows various programs and formulas to figure it out, XD.

I hope omega donut or someone similar can figure it out after all of you finish cracking the 5th gen RNG.

Here's the POST of the experiments I conducted so far. I listed everything important. I made sure I did at least 3 of each possible gender ratio: M/M/M/M, M/M/M/F, F/M/M/F, F/M/F/F, F/F/F/F. Each one equally capable from my experiment getting a Nidoran M or F.

Sorry, let me explain, Nidoran(M/F) and Volbeat/Illumise gender ratio goes against the RNG reporter completely. Literally, I received a Nidoran(M) from an egg that was supposed to be female(F/F/F/F) and vice versa if it was supposed to be only male.

I even conducted an experiment, but its not done just yet. I'm going to do more tonight. Apparently, Nidoran M/F and Volbeat/Illumise gender ratio if 50%(but not the normal gender ratio, I mean as in something can be completely random, so no matter the egg, it could be 50%). For this one time, I am going to breed Volbeat/Illumises. To test if this is true, I'm going to breed a Volbeat/Illumise on the same shiny egg seed. If I manage to get the other gender, then this may be one of the few things in pokemon that actually is generated randomly. If I get a Volbeat or Illumise no matter what, then it has something to do with the PID(but different from normal gender ratios, like wumple evo prediction, or spinda's spots, or unown's symbol).

Hey matt, do you know if there is something special that needs to be known when breeding nidorans or volbeats/illumises? I didn't want to play the guessing game on the gender for when I breed volbeats/illumises like how I did for my nidorans.

Hey, I was wondering if you could help me update my ARDS for Black/White? I followed the link in your sig and then went to the site to download the firmware, but when I drag it to my AR Code Manager (which I downloaded off a site btw, could that be the problem), it states it is not firmware. If the problem is with it being a site-downloaded Code Manager, it's no problem as I have the disc. Help? :]
