First Point: It's still possible to pack checks for teams.
I can't say yet. I lack the experience to tell.
Second Point: Reduces skill
See Sirlin's definition of "Yomi." Risk/reward factor into the equation here, meaning risks are almost never 50/50 in reality.
Third point: Gimmicks/creativity is less viable.
BTW, gimmicks are still usable, they just have to be good and difficult to expect. CB Huge Power Aqua Jet Azumarill, for example.
Fourth Point: Encourages bad teambuilding
I play to win, even though I'm inexperienced. I will replace or edit team members if I feel they just aren't up to par. I assume other players will do the same.
Also, I like that the game is easier to pick up and play, with less of a learning curve. A thing to note is that this can also attract more people to Pokemon.
