  • I completely agree with you 100% on the mechanics changes decision, choosing to not 100% adhere to them was just opening up a can of worms.

Letting you know that a lot of non-PR members are right behind you!
Although I don't have PR access I would have posted to say I completely support your decision. People need to realize that sometimes leadership involves making tough decisions and realize that that leader is doing what they are doing for the benefit of the group/team/community. Thank you for having the balls to step up to the plate and take charge on the matter.
I like you for what you did. (As well as for the Smog protip series which is still to some degree useful in Gen V, but that's irrelevant.)

I agree with you on the matter wholeheartedly. I was really getting annoyed with PR (...removing crits wait what), and I was tempted to tell the guy behind PO to screw Smogon: PO had a functional banlist while we argued about crits, and we're supposed to be the better of the two communities. Thank you for nipping the issue of mechanics changes at the bud.
Agree with you putting your foot down 100% bro, glad you did what you did.
Though I wasn't sure how I felt about the decision you put your foot down on I am glad you did what you did. I'm really looking forward to a generation of Pokemon that gets things done when it has to instead bickering about the littlest thing when pressing matters are at hand instead and excessive bureaucracy.
Writing this to let you know that I support your decision to "put your foot down". While you may get some (perhaps deserved) flak for overriding a supermajority, I agree with you that it was the best decision for the community. Policy Review was becoming dysfunctional, and not just because of the critical hits thread. Just letting you know that there are non-PR members who support your choice.

Thank you for making the tough call.
Wanted to thank you for dealing with the idocy going on in PR. Be the vote 70% or .07%, this is a Pokemon website and we need to be playing Pokemon.
BTW, about the cons you mentioned in PR about previewing teams. Just want to post this:

First Point: It's still possible to pack checks for teams.

I can't say yet. I lack the experience to tell.

    Second Point: Reduces skill

See Sirlin's definition of "Yomi." Risk/reward factor into the equation here, meaning risks are almost never 50/50 in reality.

Third point: Gimmicks/creativity is less viable.

BTW, gimmicks are still usable, they just have to be good and difficult to expect. CB Huge Power Aqua Jet Azumarill, for example.

    Fourth Point: Encourages bad teambuilding

I play to win, even though I'm inexperienced. I will replace or edit team members if I feel they just aren't up to par. I assume other players will do the same.
Also, I like that the game is easier to pick up and play, with less of a learning curve. A thing to note is that this can also attract more people to Pokemon.
Hi Philip. Sorry to bother you, but I'm getting really pissed off getting PMs saying:

"I see you around here and you seem Moderator material. I already talked to The PokeCenter Admin. and he'd be able to get you a Mod. job. The PokeCenter is a forum / chat with over 1,600 members. It's really active, and it's lots of fun. The best part is the Admin. has every Shiny, Legend, and Event (INCLUDING BLACK & WHITE) which he gives free to members (For more info. READ the Poke Prizes forum and topic Poke Prizes). I hope you check it out and consider being a PokeCenter Moderator. http://www.pokecenter123.com/forum.htm"

It's extremely annoying and it never seems to stop. If there's anything you can do about it, it would be really nice. Thanks!
youre fellow moderator vader has been tring to take control of teams by force and i already tried reporting him to an admin and they did nothing can you please report this to your superior
