I don't know much about the VCG, but I do that when cherrim is in the sun, it's a great poke. And permanent sun is even better.
They both share an ice weakness though, which could prove to be detrimental, but that's why you have 2 other pokés.
Hmmm Abomasnow huh? How's that working? I was thinking of the common Groudon/Tyranitar combo to mess with Kyogres, but now that I think about it, Aboma is a better counter.
