reignofcomputer is a good guy, we talk semi-often. that would be worthwhile to have over there.
he's a complete idiot, though. it was actually depressing to talk to him because he's so incredibly ignorant about most everything past simple in-game stuff. it's more research over at pp.org than anything else. there's a lot of cool stuff that comes from there.(GTS distribution, HGSS save dumping over wifi, pokegen, grovyle's awesome mystery gift editor, the pp.org wiki- just to name a few) there's even someone working on a possible client for distributing wondercards via wifi.
sorry, how project pokemon works? and who was it you were talking to that was bashing it? someone else that i spoke with?
replied, i'm done with him. if he ever actually tries to enforce his shit, feel free to send one of your mods my way. i have no problem telling them what sort of distribution rights exist on my own pokes.(that is, none)
Capturing is harder to learn than breeding because even the smallest things like NPCs moving around will change the frame....that's probably going to be a tough one. Also, you can't RNG capture shinies without resetting your game a bunch of times because RNG shiny captures require spreads.
If you're trying to get pokes to battle with, you could probably easily get all the stuff needed just with trades -
