  • "feeling expensive" man what the fuck

I dunno, I guess it's something I don't understand. If you want the aquarium to be a painting, paint it. If you want it to be an aquarium, you gotta take an aggregate of pics at the LEAST like I did in that one thread. Behavior of animals counts for "harmony of tank", I would HOPE, unless this is some zen thing I just can't understand.

If you are viewing the tank from the front, does that mean the light source HAS to come, unobstructed, from the top?

man can't you put some animals in there that YOU want rather than just the judges and submit a photo without? I hate that you are using animals like that...for "art"
    IAPLC?

If you want harmony and balance, do a few floating plants with lots of top heavy shit and some low laying low light grasses with some fire belly nets and bright orange koi/goldfish on a black substrate with some back/side down angled lighting. Maybe a high end metallic betta or two for good measure. Not to mention if you want small newts, firebellies can be small as fuck AND passive as all hell- that genus is SHIT at catching fish. If you catch the photo properly, a few will be showing their brilliant red bellies, which is spectacular. Cynops is super popular for a reason.

All those pics you posted are bottom heavy. Awards are given out, sometimes, based on originality. :D

Just wanna point out that you haven't yet posted a pic that utilizes floating plants to the full (or ANY extent).
why do what you did once more? I know it works, but newts and frogs (or other fish even- like a Bichir...delightful but mean and big) provide a different and new challenge...hell I'm still new(t) to newts. IDK, I could transform my tank with what I can get here in desolate Canada if you're willing to throw down some animals that aren't the norm! We can be tank buddies, since my tank is similar size at 33 gallon!
Well, crocodile newts likely eat bloodworms which have a bonus fallout for shrimp frenzy when they eat. They likely eat anything small enough for their mouth, but some flower/wood shrimp are big (and pretty...WOW) enough! Lots of tanks can deal with them, actually.

    How big is your tank?
I do think that with our powers combined:
    PERFECT TANK ACHIEVED

You consider the ambiance and look/functionality, I consider the animals and interrelationships with them as well as functionality. I'll just go ahead and offer my services on your new set up to think about things :D. Caudates would be AMAZING in it BTW...there are some very passive, common and pretty species (Crocodile newts)
Pretty sweet gig you got going then lol. Yeah, if I have spare time I'm usually on here, one of the only forums not blocked by the server here. Ironically, I can't check my gmail either for work related matters. Get your priorities straight Japan!
Oh wow me too! What a coincidence. I'm actually posting from my school right now lol. I teach at seven different elementary schools. I'm with Interac. What company are you with?
No, I should think not haha. Is it much colder in Niigata? What do you do here? Or are you a Japanese citizen?
What prefecture is Niigata? How long does it take to get to Kyoto for example?

Not particularly if you ask me, it was pretty pleasant this weekend. I don't know Celsius too well but I'd wager it's around 35-38 Farenheit or so. So like, 2-4 Celsius?
My Awesomeness quotient went above by Abrasiveness quotient.

Also I am a work horse.
Also my subversion and cunning is endearing.
Your nostalgic "ramblings" of Gitaroo Man have brought me to a realization, sir. That I need to go back and play the original one. I never got past the 3rd enemy (the Jazz bee) but I blame the game being way too hard for anyone age 10.

Regardless, thank you for sending me on a nostalgia fest of the first two levels and the multiplayer and I'ma go dig up my PS2 soon!
I know man! Haha, I'm glad I wasn't on the competitive scene in the gens of old (especially the stallfests of 2nd gen)!
Any reason you converted you custom title / location placeholder into Japanese?
these newts are like apex as all hell, the only things they don't kill are either stronger or faster than them. There is a goldfish that's way too big to eat in there now, I want to see if they will kill it anyways and rip it apart.
Yeah I'm stuck with what I can get- mystery snails are the only snail big enough here to not have an operculum forced open by the newts. Meanwhile, all the algae eaters here are small enough that the newts would kill them within 48 hours.

    Fuck what a challenging beastie
rhizomes work for me. I want this shit to grow fast as the newts will hopefully decimate it.

Also: What experience have you got with whisker shrimp? I have one that is amazing and I want more but for some reason no pet stores EVER seem to have them!
I have gotten mixed messages from the internet at large.

    I am wondering:

1.what, from your experience, is the growth rate of Hornwort PER DAY in cm? I swear mine has gown already...

    2. Would clippings grow into full plants?

    3. Is it true this shit is supposed to be a floater?
