    Some people say that Joey advances the frame by nothing on Mondays, but on my HG cart it advances by 2 any day of the week. But on my SS, it doesn't advance on Mondays or when he wants to battle you. So it's all once again dependent on your game. You'd have to find out by testing it.

    You hit your delay. There is a HUGE difference between delay and frame. You might want to remember the difference between the two. xD!

    Since you have a shiny Castform already and it's everything you want. You're going to abuse for the seed opening the Pokegear as fast as you can. Check the seed, keep in mind Elm Calls advance the IV frame. So when checking the seed, if you're calling over 10 times, that your frame will also be over 10.

    Since the old man is already holding an egg. You can't abuse for shininess or anything else for that matter.. At all. You'll have to get rid of the egg, and than save in front of the daycare lady.

    But you have to put the parents in after hitting your seed. You can't have an egg already produced as it won't be what you want. As once the egg is ready to be picked up it will always be that nature, ability, gender and if shiny. So you'll have to hit your seed inside the daycare house, check if you hit your seed, if you did. Put the parents with the daycare lady quickly.
    Than produce and egg as fast as you can.

    Egg's don't have exactly have "egg frames." It's more like, Egg PID Frames, as the PID (which controls nature, gender, ability, and whether it is shiny or not) is separate from the IV's.
    Rather when an egg is produced (when you can pick it up from the daycare man). It advances the egg's PID frame by 1.
    So if you are on egg PID Frame 3, and an egg is produced it will be on frame 4.
    One of the only ways to advance that is by calling Joey, which advances the Egg's PID frame by 2. So you're going to want an odd frame number, so when you can call Joey, and pick only 1 egg up.

    Delays are just a background counter that advances at 60 times second.
    Sadly all capture delays are usually pretty high. I've only seen 1 at 600 before. Out of the 100+ spreads I've seen.
    So basically. If you're aiming for a 4,000 delay. That is going to be 66.666... (repeating) seconds of waiting till you hit continue. Any timer can be just as effective as Pikatimer and what not, but you're going to have to rely on yourself a lot more.

    Basically with this you're going to be hitting delays up into the 4,000's ish.
    So, you will need to find a seed to capture the heatran with first of which.
    What nature are you looking for? Any Hidden Power?

    Yeah, you can use that to get a basic understanding of the RNG in Platinum. But there is a slight difference between wild captures and standing legends. When you are done reading through the guide. I will give you some pointers on how to do legends.
