Well the strategy dex applies for all 4th gen, including HG/SS. But in the first post of the battle thread, it had the ban list. A lot of previously banned pokemon are back. Things like Mew, Deoxys D/S, Salamence, Garchomp, Lati@s, etc are back. The pretty much unbanned as much as possible that wasn't disgustingly powerful, then rebanned things like Darkrai and Shaymin-S for being too good. Also, Blaziken is banned now since the Speed Boost Blaziken was too strong for most of the meta to handle.
