    Well that's odd as heck because I managed to transfer an Oblivia Shaymin into my B/W game via IR-GTS and Pokeshift just fine. I personally hate old-school poke-transfer but I'm willing to help out.

    I have seen this on pokemon coming from gen 3.
    Gen3 is supposedly after Gen 2.[gold and silver] If transferred to HGSS that pokemon "goes back in time" then if you transfer them to BW which is the most recent one, they would need to travel trough time again. Hope this helps lol
