already gave them the items and yeah, i am probably the fastest ev trainer on the site. all the ev training for all 3 pokemon took me 15 minutes

You have to blow/take it out and insert it again/twice, sometimes it may do that. The load time is sorta reasonable though. And yes, that's supposed to be the background.
Did the game even load when you tried it?
Hold on...let me upload my stuff directly out of my DTSS. Give that a try. If that doesn't work I honestly don't know what will. Unless your DTSS is a copy/clone or something.
