I don't see Counter being all that useful though because it has high defense but very low HP but unless you want to put DynamicPunch on it there's not much else is there.

Yeah. It's a BP for someone as I usually do not do shinies in 3rd gen. IVs will be 31/31/31/21/31/0 assuming standard inheritance.

Pretty much. It's been a while since I did it, but I'm pretty sure that's how it was done. I just got my seed in front of the green gift guy, then traded it over to my cart, which had that seed shiny and hatched it there.
3rd 4th and 5th. I don't like doing 5th gen RNGs though because of Timer0 being a complete bitch to me on my flashcart.
