  • Careful though, you don't want to end up just being a catalogue for other trade threads.
    That's why I proposed us being like "brother" threads.
    Of course I will :)
    Allow me to complete a trade and then we can discuss specifics.
    And the trade is doing ok, I have a few pendings and I completed 1 trade
    I settled for a careful Cresselia :) I'm just going to EV it differently than the standard dual screen set
    Don't worry about A___ ... he seems to be getting cranky. It's right there in the rules that redis rights should be on every pokemon, or at least in your rules say nothing is redis, but he did neither of those things.
    I made it fully-redis since Ebondragon had it on his thread as fully-redis after you traded it to him. My fault for not specifying, though it would have been easier if you had simply asked me.
    Hey, I see you've posted my Bronzong on your thread. I don't mind you putting it up, but others have been posting it as fully redistributable. I don't recall having said that it was... (Perhaps you asked me and I don't remember?)
    You've been a bunch of help. Just letting me post it and try to get a grasp on it.

    It worked in Platinum. Maybe HGSS's fishing is different. Or maybe it's the Korean version, I don't know. I doubt it's the Korean bit. I might ask one of the Researchers about this.
    Just hit a different frame, but still. With me, I want to know why it happened so I can figure out what went wrong, so that I can get it right, right away next time. Plus be able to effectively help others.
    Same seed, frame 79.
    79 - 3 = 76
    Method 1, frame 76's PID = 68992B62
    2B62 = 11106/656 = 16. Which means with a Super Rod, we'll hook something.

    Frame 79 - 2 = 77.
    Method 1, frame 77's PID = 26726899
    6899 = 26777/656 = 40 = Slot 1 = Poliwag. But I got a Magikarp.

    Uhm, what?! >.> Unless if it went by -5 frames for the encounter slot... As that's the closest PID that yields encounter slot 2.
    When, I ran the calcs on another frame. I should have gotten an Encounter Slot 1 mon, but instead I got a 2 or 4 mon.
    Next take the last four digits of the method 1 PID that is on your method J frame - 2.

    Divide this number by 656 and discard any remainder or the decimal portion of the result (ie round down).

    Now use this number to figure out which slot you will get.

    Old Rod:

    Slot 0: 0-59 60%
    Slot 1: 60-89 30%
    Slot 2: 90-94 5%
    Slot 3: 95-98 4%
    Slot 4: 99 1%

    Good and Super Rods:

    Slot 0: 0-39 40%
    Slot 1: 40-79 40%
    Slot 2: 80-94 15%
    Slot 3: 95-98 4%
    Slot 4: 99 1%

    So with all of that in mind, I see Method 1 frame 112 to see if I can get anything.

    Method 1, frame 112's PID: B51EE685
    E685 = 58384/656 = 89.

    Which is no nibble. Just for fun, let's say there is an encounter if there were. What would the encounter slot be.

    Frame 113's PID = F026B51E
    B51E = 46366/656 = 70

    Encounter number of 70 = Encounter Slot 1.
    What the fuck?! >.>
    I am too, but this is all retardedly weird.

    For Super Rod encounters and their encounter slots you check the Method 1 frame.
    For seed 6A060F44, I am aiming at just say frame 115 which PokeRNG says yeilds a Encounter slot 4 mon.

    So for that math calcs you use this:
    Make a note of your method J frame and then locate the this frame - 3 in a method 1 list. Take the last 4 digits of the PID on this method 1 frame and convert it from hexadecimal to decimal.

    Divide this number by 656 and discard any remainder or the decimal portion of the result (ie round down).

    This gives a result between 0 and 99.

    Now depending on your fishing rod here are the results:

    Old Rod: Numbers between 0 and 24 mean a catch will be made.
    Good Rod: Numbers between 0 and 49 mean a catch will be made.
    Super Rod: Numbers between 0 and 74 mean a catch will be made.

    Numbers that do not meet the criteria above will result in the "not even a nibble message"
    Well, not. If it persists like this, I won't bother fishing in the Safari Zone.

    So I did all my math right, I've like quadruple checked it. It should be right, but... it's not?

    I can't see how to figure this shit out. I need to find a place that has a different Pokemon for every slot.

    Like, I'm encountering Pokemon I shouldn't be. It's weird.
