No, I did some serious work by switching into tangrowth to make me lose the game.

i'm not really up to speed with base stats and traits and things, so there's heaps of things i just have to learn as i go

It actually can learn Water Absorb. Lol. Its the Dream World ability.
Either one of those would be great for you team. I personally would use Floatzel but I guess I say that because he's one of my favorites lol. And yeah I won the first match. Looking forward for tie breaker in the future lol.
