Yes, you definitely need keypresses. For a search like this you should use three. I use three for all of mine anyway.
Probably. I'm sure you'll get something though even if it takes a couple searches. The bad ones are specific frames like this when you also need a specific rare encounter slot. I want to catch HP Ice Tynamo so bad but it is literally impossible with my ID. :/
neither. Just leave the nature field on Any and the synch only box unchecked. That way you get both. You'll get some that don't work but it doesn't take the search any longer.
Okay, for captures, some of the frame will have the nature written in Bold. Those frames will change into the nature of your synchronizer if you have one in the lead slot. I wouldn't narrow your search down to your nature or synchronize frames only though since if you ask for just Bold seeds, you'll miss all the sychronize ones and vice versa.
If you are catching Volcarona, you only get to pick a max frame. The min/max frame at the top should both be 1 (it's for your seed). The max shiny frame field is in the lower left near the box for 'Search for nearby shiny frames'.
EDIT: You can raise the max frame (seed) up to as much as 6 but it makes the RNG process a bit more complicated and difficult. It will give RNG Reporter 6 times the options though and it's a pretty specific spread you need. Just fyi.

I generally shoot for a max of 300 but you can go higher if you need to. The pokemon in you party won't advance it as long as you start on iv frame 1 and even then it's only while walking.
