I had no interest in VGC until recently when they released the new rules. I probably won't be attending any VGCs in person, but I plan on playing in the wifi tournaments.

Haha, well that would be ~$40-50 plus the price to import it. I'd like to know it will work first but I've run about ten searches and sifted through at least ten pages on each one without finding anything. Most of the results don't really match my search well but it seems like that's likely because there isn't anything unique about the Korean games region locking. WZ thinks differently for some reason and I'm sure it's a good one. I just can't find it myself even when looking at Korean sites.
It's ok. Winters told me it wouldn't work but it sounded to me like he didn't think HGSS worked either when I know from experience they do. I imagine he's right but I would still really like to read about it for myself. The Pokemon of Korea website didn't mention anything about it but I don't guess that is surprising.
Can you link me to the place you read about the Korean ones being region locked? I have googled it for the last hour and still can't find anything. I just find it odd that HGSS would work but not Black and White so i'd like to read about it.
Lmk if you come across a Hitmontop with the Technician ability, Adamant nature, and the moves Fake Out (pre-evolution), Mach Punch (egg move), and Sucker Punch (4th gen tutor). This is a big want at the moment :)
