The only thing you're protecting is the said Explosion resist. You would need two to be completely protected. Nothing on his team is running Protect and almost everything dies to an Explosion. If you really need something for Explosion, use Golduck. I'm sure it can make use of the rain.

It's kind of useless using an explosion resist. Actually, the only situation I would see use for one would be in singles. Replace it with another Swift Swimmer like Kingdra.
