What the
it's something Josh told me and that I actually experienced last game. Scum are likelier to get town read than town a lot of times because they have teammates town read them.
Ex; Hal and Texas being town cored last game, me surviving way longer than I should have.

which is another great example of why town reads are normally useless to me.
anyways you specifically implied that we should be worried because "clarinet is usually lynch bait" as if it is somehow pre-ordained the people will play and be read the exact same way every single game. is it not normal for people to possibly play differently and be read differently? there's no need to get overtly paranoid about a consensus read which i would bet is probably more accurate than any one individual's read even including external interference. you're basically saying here people are town reading clarinet because other people are town reading him? maybe then it makes sense to be worried but that's not really what's happening? and im not saying never reconsider, but if your reasoning to swap reads on someone is purely on that basis then it's a really weak one. make that read a reason to rethink why you personally think that person is town and go from there.
you skip over a couple steps in your example and assume the reason as to why hal and texas were town cored - people said they were town because everyone else agreed? that's why everyone in the game town cored them or whatever? maybe. i would posit that it was more of a reputation issue. you see where i'm going with this? your thinking is too constricted and lacks nuance.
i actually wouldn't mind it all things considered if your approach wasn't so narrowly focused (ur other point against him is that he used a specific word that he last used when he was mafia...ok???). It's more than reasonable that we should reconsider certain users that we've locked in from time to time but the way you approached it in that post spoke from a place of paranoia than reality. although clarinet + dusk is interesting i guess...i think i was onboard with it for a bit but then that post threw me off lul

I'm kind of stuck. I see reasonable cases for both m2h and dusk. Don't want to say more, I want to hear what dusk has to say.
Think I'm probably at 1 of dusk/m2h with UTO and outside chance of clarinet/dusk and m2h/laurel.
357 is the key post for my thoughts on UTO. Too convenient for me. The CB vote makes me reconsider though? Did they give him on saving him at that point? If so probably have to put laurel back as town. I guess we'll see what happens when everyone else posts.

from what you're saying you seem to play from a perspective like this:
find specific details in a person's iso that you can read -> develop a read -> make a case
I tend to have an intuitive style where I just read people's posts and just feel a certain way, I rarely actually rely on finding certain details.
my style is more like this:
do live interactions if possible and note the way I feel, what my gut instinct says -> sit on that feeling a bit -> post what I feel -> go back and try to justify it with something.
for me the reasons I say that somebody is scum is rarely the thing that made me think they are scum, its more of a broad general feeling.
ex; dusk's eod yesterday. I didn't read his posts in isolation and pick out which posts are scummy and which are towny. I just looked into his soul and saw scum looking back at me.

The way you interpret things you and I are probably more alike then you think. Our disagreement is about the justification, not in me or you not understanding or jiving with what the other is doing.

Regardless this argument is pointless and isn't helpful so I'm going to try and move on.
If you actually read the posts I wrote preceding Dusk accusing me of tmi'ing, I'm fairly sure that it makes zero sense to call that tmi. I felt that caffeine was likely scum, and even if he wasn't scum he was practically always going to get lynched at some point because he was doing absolutely nothing to get town read. I think trying to solve the game with the assumption of caffeine scum at that stage in the game is perfectly reasonable, and I don't really believe that Duskfall thinks that I was actually tmi'ing, I think he was just throwing shit at me.
I interpreted this as dusk trying to give himself an out if he mislynches me what with him questioning that he has a 100% read on me in quote 3 above, but then he agrees to being lynched if he mislynches me which gives me pause I guess.

I'm not just going to roll over and let you lynch me if I'm wrong because that would mean town would lose the game.
