I agree one-hundred percent. The fact remains that the child was mentally unsound, but obviously Drew was unaware of this.
Someone in an earlier post claimed that Lori Drew knew full well that Megan was on antidepressants.

The girl (Megan) did know the Drew girl. She didn't know that the drew girl was really "Josh" or whatever the name was.

Megan knew the Drew Girl, Lori Drews, and the Mulford girl. These three definitely had access to the account, but the article is not clear on the details.
She had mental issues, which has absolutely NOTHING to do with stupidity. Depression IS an actual state of mind. It's not like she just felt sad sometimes, her whole life we was feeling crummy and had constant mood swings, and the Drew girl KNEW this and took advantage of it.
If you honestly don't feel pity, you totally lack empathy, which is terrible. Honestly, that ought to be considered a mental state, if you ask me.

Well I'm sorry if I don't have the mental illness to relate to her, as seemingly some of you might have...? Which could mean why you're all taking this so...deeply..? Perhaps you have to reevaluate on how your life is before you're blaming me, a stranger on the internet, for being an incompetent excuse for a human being...? But then again I think I'm mentally stable so none of this is an issue for me.
With the exception of the fake guy, Megan did know a few people who were involved in this prank.
But sanjay120, while I did feel what Lori did was disgusting, I'm pretty sure she didn't foresee or want the suicide to happen. She just chose a rather immature way to confront Megan about the rumor (which is the reason it pisses me off). Yes she did know Megan was emotionally unstable, but perhaps she, like a lot of people who have posted, would have hoped Megan wouldn't become so attached to the fake guy.
Aeroblacktyl I respect your opinion in that yes, there are morons on the internet who shouldn't use it. But I feel Megan wasn't a moron. Her ability to rationalize was comprised (it is a symptom for depressed people to think thoughts of suicide).
The reason I posted this article is not because it was some 13 year old girl who committed suicide because of a fake myspace account, it's because a depressed 13 year old committed suicide because of a fake myspace account (which was an immature prank done with the full knowledge of an adult).

What can I say?! Agree, 1,000,000,000,000 percent. I would go rambling on about why, but make an ass of myself in the process. So here goes:
I really really think that even a depressed girl would not care much about an internet insult, seriously, usually I laugh at them. This is why Bebo, Myspace, and Facebook are so shit. but still, to care about someone saying that on the internet? It really is indescribable about how much people do care about the internet, it is at your disposal, not controlling your mind.
