Let's do this thing.

Whichever is fine with you. If you need the slots now, then you can just DQ, but battling it out with a sub ref would also be fine.

Round 1: Impatient Ungrateful Little...

Sumo feints towards Nereus with a Fake Out, making the EETY, BEETY LEETLE PENGUIN CRY LIKE BAEBY and flinch. Sumo, you bully.

Recovering from his heart attack of fright, Nereus Rain Dances for the rain gods, which creates rain. Who would have thought? Luckily, stereotypical Asian kung-fu guys meditate in the rain once a week, so Sumo Focus Energys, getting pumped up as a result!

And the last action, we finally get some violence. Yay. Rain-boosted Hydro Pump and four critical Arm Thrusts puts some serious hurt on both battlers! This could be close.

Round 2: That One Round With No Violence That's Pretty Fucking BORING

Aqua Ring, Sand-Attack, where is the BLOOD?

I mean, Nereus tries a Hydro Pump, but of course, it misses, because there's wet sand in his eyes, which makes it hard to aim something as accurate as Stone Miss™. Sumo takes some more steroids, Bulk Upping and raising his attack and defense!

He tries to enact some Revenge about...nothing really. Luckily, Nereus stops his efforts with a Protect.

Round 3: The Round Where They Kill Each Other

Nereus shrieks loudly, creating a confuzzling Supersonic that...completely misses Sumo's ears, if that's what they are. Maybe because they're all tied up and he's entirely deaf. I dunno. Anyway, Sumo uses the last of his energy to land a powerful critical hit with Cross Chop!

Nereus burrows underground to avoid an Arm Thrust barrage, coming up right after and landing a quick hit on Sumo.

Taking advantage of the torrential downpour, Nereus sprays another powerful Hydro Pump at Sumo, which actually finds its mark. Sumo counters by triggering a deadly Earthquake.

Round 4: Storm's End

Nereus launches another deadly Hydro Pump, but the move's inherent unpredictability and the sand in his eyes cause it to miss! Sumo, a more cautious battler, tosses Nereus with a Vital Throw, which, of course, never misses.

Smarting from the attack, Nereus erects a Protect, the barrier nullifying a powerful Cross Chop from Sumo.

The second, Torrent-boosted Hydro Pump, fortunately, DOES connect, but Sumo's got a plan for that too, focusing the energy of the attack into a suped-up Revenge! Both pokemon are barely holding on! Could this next round be the end?

No.

+1 Stat Boosts/Drops received from non-damaging moves (Meditate, Leer, etc.) have that stat maintained at the end of the round in which they were used. To continue to lock the stat for future rounds, the moves must be used again in those rounds, otherwise they will begin to decrement as normal. Otherwise, these are treated the same as the +1/+1 Stat Boosts/Drops as noted below. Moves treated this way have the phrase "This move locks its changed stat for the round within which it was used." in their Data Audit thread description.
Sand-Attack: The Pokemon kicks sand or gravel into its target's face, obscuring its vision and lowering their accuracy by one (1) stage. This move locks its changed stat for the round within which it was used.
