i was looking at metagross' score this whole time lmao
this was definitely a lot easier than tangrowth. though i will admit this team is being carried by volcanion, silvally has done pretty good stuff. and the third team member is still kinda shaky, but maybe some day i'll finally decide who will be the final member. for now, pheromosa it is.
i would put a pokepaste for my team rn but ehhh some stuff goin on so imma stop here until tmr, yall better not stress yourselves out either :mad:

  • You no longer need to sign up beforehand. Although this increases the potential for cheating slightly, it doesn't weigh against the 4 pages of signups we got, 2 pages of which were people who did not end up achieving anything.
    • You must instead post once you get a bronze medal
I swear I forgot a rule I meant to change, but I'm tired... I'll update the OP with these rules tonight and will post on this thread for any future rule changes.

I'm interested in seeing how others utilize Silvally. Besides its ability to be any type, it has really solid stats and great coverage moves in boltbeam and flamethrower. I'm using a SD set with Steel atm but I could see a mixed or specially based Silvally doing really well. This was a great choice to build around.

- Substitute
- Bulldoze
max hp so seismic toss doesnt break sub. atk + nature to 2hko 252 hp zone with bulldoze. spd for specs zone hyperbeam also helps vs drago and some weak special attackers. speed to outspeed 252 spe zone after bulldoze (also happens to outspeed uninvested base 50s). u still lose to specs steel beam :( rest in def. i also thought about adding worry seed as the last move to beat rest users like registeel and corsola. i stole the idea of sleep powder + subseed+ zoom lens from Rafadude, but the rest is all made by me.

yk whats funny is that because of kyurem and other sptakers probably, but mostly kyurem, togekiss with maranga berry is popping off. which is now my official third member of the team (hopefully. god i hope.)
at some point during my stupidity in grinding, yes i did went up and down again i just had bad luck/bad matchups a lot, i kept changing my silvally's type. but in the end i decided that ground was good enough already. the problem was zarude, my previoud third pokemon, who wasnt actually bringing enough despite the weakness policy being pretty solid. especially when i had close to no good matchups for fighting and flying (volcanion cant tank everything ueueue)
so togekiss stepped in and said "bro, i got this"
anyway im gonna actually stop here. i havent played pokemon showdown in a long while until today due to issues, but yea it slaps me in the face saying "you're addicted"
to which i reply, yes, yes i am.
(also uh, i think theres a funky error when showing the elos and stuff. i had to reset the website a ton of times before it showed my score correctly. could just be me)
