1v1 PL Commencement Thread​

Sign-ups Spreadsheet

Important Rules:
  1. Both the Manager and the Assistant Manager are allowed to selfbuy.
    Price Last 1v1PL / 2 + Wins Last 1v1PL * 2000 = Self Buy Price
    (If result ends in 250 it rounds down, if results ends in 750 rounds up. For example 17250 = 17000, 12750 = 13000)

    Note that it says 1v1PL and not last 1v1 Team Tour (OGPL and WC not included). If you did not play last 1v1PL, it goes back to the last 1v1PL you played. For example, the last 1v1PL I played was 1v1PL VI, so my price and record would be from that tour. If you have not played 1v1PL before, your self buy price will default to 10000, which will be the minimum self buy price (If the formula for you adds up to say 8000, your price will be 10000).
  2. Each team will have a minimum of ten players (eight starters and two subs) and a 100k budget.
  3. Players may not be traded at any point.

1v1 Draft Gambling Competition!!

Once again, we bring back the draft gambling competition to bring a little spice to this PL's draft. This year, it will be hosted by me and itchy so i can also predict my price :> Those who get it exactly right gets bragging rights for all eternity and pokepaste of a team for every generation I stole some of the teams.

The game is simple: guess your price in the draft! Send your guesses to me in PMs either on smogon or discord. If your price is predetermined, whether as a retain or self-bought manager, you are ineligible to play. Sorry, that's cheating >>>>:(

After the draft, I'll compile the results and tell everyone how right (or wrong) you were!

- Once the draft starts, submissions are closed
- If your name on Smogon does not match your Discord, consider including your Smogon username in the message
- The minimum guess is 3k, please use intervals of .5
- All entrants must be enthusiastic about playing in 1v1PL

So are we promoting delusion if someone doesn't expect to get drafted? If so I feel like this fits the 1v1 culture, "I'm not crazy, I'm just crazy enough - deg"
 
Hello, I'm posting my try out post here so every manager can see it as I know most of them don't know me.:boi:

I'm Heika, I've been playing 1v1 since DEG and Itchy dragged me in here with 1v1 World Cup (best decision of 2023). I don't have much accomplishment, but I'm sure I'll prove myself to be very very useful to the team. I mean, who wouldn't want to have the oh so impartial host on their team :blobwizard:.
