This is what you get for leaving all the transfer business deals for dead-line day.

And that's worse than using the Daily Mail's overrated flavour of the month to make your summer purchases? (I'm talking about Carroll and Henderson of course)

edit: C'mon Fulham! My money's on Chelsea to win too. edit2: metaphorical money if I was a betting man :P

Half-Time

Man Utd 3-0 Chelsea

Now, while Chelsea have been by no means bad and on another would have scored, you cannot tell me that Manchester United (and maybe to a lesser extent Manchester City) are not MILES ahead of everyone else in the Premier League.

It's a different class and this proves it.

United got a lucky offside goal, a lucky third this scoreline is flattering, the gap between them and everyone else isn't that big.

Chelsea have been on a down turn for a long time, all the key players over the hill, a severe lack of creativity, the one thing they had going for them in their defence isn't even reliable anymore.

Well, if all that is true about Chelsea it just shows how big the gap is. They have been United's closest rivals for the last 7-8 years, if they've declined and are still better than everyone else, that shows how much better Man Utd are.

Torres was always going to score though haha.

Good impact from Anelka, proved he should have started today.

This Chelsea isn't as good as years previous, yet despite the scoreline have made plenty of chances and really shouldn't be this far behind.

I wouldn't rate Chelsea that much higher then Liverpool anymore at times yet there matching the supposedly invincible United despite the scoreline.

Wayne Rooney is certainly no Frank Lampard.

EDIT;I 'm comparing them in terms of penalties.Just want to clarify that before I get attacked for this.

Hmm, terrible late challenge from Ashley Cole on Hernández. In the box, and he gets a yellow card. But no penalty? What is this?

Well, I thought Torres was back... I guess not haha.

Also, it's probably too early to say this (plus I hate the fact I actually am saying this), but I don't see anyone at all beating United at the moment, on their current form. Gonna be like Arsenal '03-'04?

P.S. 1st post with new signature VV
