lol Liverpool.

Liverpool and their fans need to realise they are not a top 4 club anymore. They also need to stop playing incredibly inflated fees for some very average English players.

Newcastle have had an amazing season. I'd love to see Tottenham continue to collapse and Newcastle sneak into the CL spots.

i wouldn't! as much as newcastle have had a glorious season this year, i don't think theyve got the strength in depth to compete in that many competitions and would probs end up looking like clowns!

tbf Liverpool were challenging for the title just a couple of seasons ago (OK maybe 3 or 4...). Since then one by one Liverpool's top players have left and whether it was Benitez or Hodgson or Dalglish, they have replaced them with mediocrity. Suarez was probably their only top quality signing in the last few years and even then he's struggling to score goals consistently. I think it's slowly beginning to sink in that they'll need to be patient for a few years now as they re-gather momentum and try to populate the squad with top quality players again. That will have to come from the youth system seeing as how City, Chelsea and the other cash cows have inflated the market to such an extreme extent nowdays that you can't buy half a decent player for 20mil. As for King Kenny, he has made his mistakes and it's up to Liverpool whether they think he has the vision to take the club slowly to the top again. Personally I'm not a fan of sacking managers and I think Dalglish is a good motivator so maybe he deserves a second chance. Plus who else is out there for Liverpool? Benitez again lol?

You have to be careful and do your homework before you make purchases. Not to be pretentious, but I think that the only way for most clubs to successful now is to try and follow the Wenger model where you take chances on young players who are underperforming at their clubs. Newcastle has done very well in that they have not payed too much for any player, they get good prices.

or just do what fergie does for years, find the talent before anyone else does. aka hernandez, imagine his value after the world cup.

first bold; John Henry and his little muppets did this.. have Carroll and Suarez up front, then load the midfield with a bunch of players who can supply them to ball with crosses in the box and give Suarez room to "work his magic"

So far it has worked. Carling Cup winners.

second bold; Whhhhhhat? I do not agree with this at all, and also don't agree it's what Wenger does.

Fabrice Muamba got out of bed for the first time as he continues to make encouraging progress in his recovery from a cardiac arrest. It is now nine days since the Bolton midfielder collapsed during the FA Cup quarter-final at Tottenham.

"Fabrice Muamba remains in intensive care at the London chest hospital where his condition is serious but stable," said a statement released on Monday by the hospital and Bolton Wanderers.

"He continues to make encouraging progress in his recovery. Over the weekend he has been able to sit out of bed for a short time, watch television and has begun to eat. However, he will need to continue to be closely monitored by the medical team for some time.

A small delegation from the Premier League club, including the manager Owen Coyle and the chairman Phil Gartside, are expected to visit Muamba at some point on Tuesday before Bolton's rearranged cup tie with Spurs.

I'm really glad he's having a speedy recovery. It's always tragic when things like this happen, but I hope he is able to play for Bolton again. Also, United atop with 3 points? Happening? or Not?

There hasn't been much news on Muamba, we can only assume that he is stable but probably still very weak from the ordeal. It will take time and maybe a lot of drugs to get his body working like it should be again. We'll only know when the hospital or his family releases the information but right now I can imagine they want a bit of privacy.

Man Utd jammy turds again, sigh...

But here's a comfort article to warm the cockles of your heart (if you are Arsenal fan):

(P.S. I have no idea what cockles are btw and whether there should be any in someone's heart...)

GG FA Cup. Semis then Quarters, not bad methinks. Bogdan in sublime form. Not for that corner though

EDIT 2: Back in it? Kevin Davies scores his first in ages. 2 mins to go.

K. Davies 90"

EDIT 3: Well, we did ourselves proud, nothing to be ashamed of a 2-1, no, make that 3-1, quality goal by Saha the final kick of the game. I'm not too disappointed actually.

Spurs 3-1 Bolton
-Nelsen 74"
-Bale 76"
----------K. Davies 90"
