2012/2013 Soccer/Football thread

hey napoli are far from best, never claimed that. just funny how youd attack napoli over losing in europa league as if they were a shit team when we are, well, second place by 4 points in serie a

its fine though, arsenal fans have to find other stuff to talk about as talking about their own team just brings them sadness

The difference is we aren't going as far down as being relegated. Sure Napoli have been good the past few seasons with Cavani, but they've only managed an Italian Cup win and have only won Serie A twice ever.

Momentary success isn't something to get too excited about. Maybe not everything is about history or trophies or European success, but it definitely means something.

dont worry rey i am under no illusions that leeds are not gonna win shit this year and for the foreseeable future too. we're 6 points off play-offs with a game in hand over most teams, i'm happy with this and hopefully we can build on it

if, in 10 years time, we're still in the exact same position, i'll still be at elland road chanting for the lads. dunno how many other people in this thread could say that

fucking right too. you just need a better manager tbh, warnock is ruining EVERYTHING

would have been funny if Arsenal drew that,
and Wigan back where they belong..... 17th :P

2-0 stroll to go 15 points clear, come on Chelsea tomorrow

we won a fucking trophy. a trophy. swansea won a trophy.
holy fuck. when i started supporting the swans in league 1 i never ever ever thought i'd see something like this ever, the PL was a big enough shock

just oh my god
contender for best day of my life

In league 1. Weren't you still able to participate in this trophy? Not really far fetched.

Quality opponent though. Had a right to be worried.

5-0

massively far fetched seeing as we've been tipped for relegation every season in the championship and premier league so far. considering this is our centenary and our first major trophy i didnt have expectations of winning anything at all ever so this is amazing

classy phalanx, very classy. we're not a top club, we're not a big club, this is our first ever piece of silverware.. have some grace

Yeah let's just take away from the fact that Swansea beat Chelsea and Liverpool to get here because they beat Bradford in the final..

could someone please pop through the old thread and see what phalanx said in the 2010 season when the carling cup was the only piece of silverware that Man Utd won because i'd bet my left testicle it was very different to what he just said here. conversely i would also trade said left testicle to see my team win a major piece of silverware so well done Swansea, a great achievement and one that solidifies them as one of the top 10 teams in Britain.

Forgot to mention this but I think Nathan Dyer's reaction to not taking the penalty was a bit selfish considering the situation Swansea was already in.
