2012/2013 Soccer/Football thread

chelsea x man utd has been interesting so far, my predictions have been flat out wrong too :/.

blues had a slow start, but they've been playing better since 25 minutes or something. oscar is doing poorly, he needs to support the defense as he normally does.

but lets see whats up next

WHEN THE FUCK WILL THIS STOP? IM NOT EVEN A CHELSEA FAN BUT WHEN THE FUCK WILL MAN UNITED STOP GETTING BULLSHIT CALLS IN THEIR FAVOR LOL

ivanovic off (i said i hoped he'd get sentoff prematch for ruining my fantasy season. beast) torres off and an offside utd goal.. absolutely awesome for fucking off all the liverpool fans i saw on twitter celebrating vorm's injury yesterday. as if i needed to dislike liverpool any more!

and to make it even more stupid, he books valancia for diving... fantasy team ruin complete, i thought you had to you know... dive? refs are shocking today.

classic example of corruption. even if it's not as evident as in serie a, it's become somewhat public.

What's funny is that both big matches today were very similar, man u and liverpool going 2-0 up before surrendering their leads. This is where things get weird, liverpool score a perfectly legal goal that gets ruled out by offside. meanwhile man utd's goal was obviously offside but was counted.

fun fact: this is the first match mark Clattenburg has refereed since the 1-6 loss to manchester city.

yeah you should hate all liverpool fans because some idiots were celebrating someone else's injury

by your logic, i should assume all swansea fans are drug addict scum and have very low iq scores!

Corruption? Torres was booked for diving, contact was slight and then he went down, not because of the contact, was harsh but no way Valencia dived to be booked.
Ivanovic red card was correct
so yea I can complain, i had Ivanovic and Valencia in my fantasy team, oh and Baines who should have had a penalty as well :P
and refs are shocking today implies more then 1. so cut it

since it's pretty obvious that the referee robbed another win for utd, i'm going to comment other stuff.

chelsea, although arguably deserved to win, are far from having a complete squad. david luiz needs to be moved to the CDM position to unlock his full potential. abramovich should, then, go for a defender (as i said like 5 months ago) and a striker. for a defender, hummels would be PERFECT for the squad, but he's expensive and i dont want him to move from borussia...

edit: tbh, i don't think it's corruption. imo, it's just that referees are afraid of alex fergayson, because that piece of shit always complains, cries, sues them, so they're naturally pressured to fuck up the game in favour of man utd

no they arn't and United have had some shocking descisions against when facing chelsea in recent years, especially at Stamford Bridge,
and the refs are not biased to united either, go back and look at the corrected league table for last season and tell me what it says (that is, if refs got descisons correct)
as I said and have already said. they are just crap
when i saw torres get booked I just thought dafuck?

how do you explain that clattenburg's last man utd fan was the 6-1 loss to city...

everytime a referee doesn't award them decisions (mind you he did nothing wrong in that match, he just didn't do them any favors), it takes about a year for him to referee a utd match. when he does, he makes it up for them.

there was a huge list where this happened everytime but i'm too lazy to dig it up.

oh and
David-Gill_1.jpg

why would I when it was correct?
the rules are clear, foul on last man is a red, there was no one covering and no one would have got back, so it was the right call, i cant say it was BS when it clearly was correct.

oh and from the BBC site.
Torres was arguably fortunate to escape a red card when he was booked for a high challenge on Cleverley
so yea.... Torres could have gone earlier quite easily i didn't see much in that tbh.

Alex Ferguson has sued referees? Do you have a source for this? I am intrigued.
